BPT | This is so true. It's hard to voice things well over email (or letters) and a lot of times they sound more harsh than what was intended. I've had much better luck dealing with problematic situations via phone rather than email.
Hope they are all fixed and correct for you. |

Honestly though, if I was on the receiving end of your reply I probably would have read hostility and satire into what you wrote, even though I've written hundreds of emails in the same vein as your reply, and have felt that I was just being honest also at that time and not hostile in intent the folks that received those emails weren't always happy with me for awhile.

BPT | He did speak with them over the phone according to his post... the "rude" email was in response to Mr Endy acting like an ass AFTER lying about the chips almost being done two weeks earlier...

I want and would expect BC to make this right for him, I am not standing on their side by any means - and feel they have no rights as a business to refuse to make this right for him. But, without going to court which would just cost much more money - a cordial phone conversation may get things on track again.
Just trying to help man....just trying to help based on past experiences I've had. I had a very respected custom chip vendor tell me that he would never, ever deal with me again in an email after a chain of rotten communication between us on some product I felt was substandard. However, the next day, a 10 minute phone conversation repaired all that very bad blood and I actually got more in return than what I was asking for.

I don't disagree, it does make me wonder why a company that does produce chips for casinos didn't know that there would be a probably with a particular hotstamp. It's their business to know isn't it? |

Like I said in the OP, I'm just feeling like I got burned here and they seem to be unwilling to take any steps to make it better. Quote: |

Then it would be understandable that they would start getting testy when you rubbed off a few more and called them back. They may have assumed that you only needed the 40% replaced.
I'm not saying they necisarrily handled it in the best way, and I may be totally off base in the way I read it, but I understand how things like this can escalate into a much bigger situation than they originally were. |
