Thumbs up Disappointed.... (Not anymore - thanks Joe!)

Mods - if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it.

I've been working with austin5string to finish the Sunflower Poker Room, and as part of this process, I had him design a dealer button that matched the fronts; the design ended up look like this -

I sent this off to PalmImports to have done on their 2" ceramic buttons. A few days later I received a package, but they turned out to be the wrong buttons. I contacted Joe, he indicated that 'someone screwed up' and that he would re-print the buttons and refund my money. After waiting over a week, the replacement buttons finally arrived, but the quality of them is, in my opinion, horrible. Here's a picture of what they look like -

(Sorry for the quality)

The background image which is supposed to be more of a watermark was printed way to dark, the fonts are 'shadowed' and almost look like they were printed twice, you can't read the 'Sunflower Poker Room' at all. PI also has never refunded my money like they said they would. Overall, I am horribly disappointed with PalmImports, and probably won't be doing business with them again.

Re: Disappointed....

The wrong package wasn't two PNY dealer buttons, were they?? I was supposed to get some and was told they were sent to the wrong customer.

I agree the button does not match the artwork, but I also do not know how hard it is to do an exact color match for your artwork.

I know Joe from Palm reads the forums often and tends to respond quickly. I'd be surprised if he does not make good on this somehow.

If by PNY you mean President Casino New York, then yeah, I've got 'em. PM me your name and address and I'll send 'em to you.

Re: Disappointed....

this appears to be a file incompatibility issue- you probably used CSII and our printer ran this from AI 10- sometimes the files dont translate... it MAY have been printed through FLexisign which is even worse when importing AI files as it only can see up to version 8

We NOW have CS II installed so let me look at the artwork this week- while our DB's print muted- this is night and day- I'd be not so jolly also

First I am hearing of a refund- but I dont have a provlem with a refund- jjust let me know if you want me to try and corect the printing- or just issue a refund.
I'm easy!
Joe

Thanks for the offer, way beyond the call of duty. Joe was supposed to print some more and send them to me, so I should be covered.
Hopefully a reprint of your button will turn out closer to what you want.

Re: Disappointed....

Props to all concerned. Very nicely handled and that was a nice offer to send FSU the PNY dealer buttons you got by mistake too, JJ.

Re: Disappointed....

Joe has contacted me by e-mail and we're working this out. I do want to say that I think PI does incredible work - I just simply couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the package yesterday. If I came across a little strong on this, I certainly didn't mean to.
