Nevada Jacks Custom

Has anyone bought the Nevada Jack custom inlay chips. If so, which chip style and what did you think of them? I have been looking at them and i like them, but they dont show many pictures of them. I was thinking about ordering the sample set to check them out. I currently have the regular Nevada Jacks skull chips. I like them, but i am doing some customs and i want something nice. Thanks for any info!!

Merry Christmas!!

Re: Nevada Jacks Custom

Depending on how long ago you got the skulls, any customs you order from NJ's will be on the same blank. So if you like the feel of the skulls, you'll like customs from them. I got my customs from them on their original blanks, and I love them. You can see pics of them in the "Custom Cermic Picture" thread. It's like the 2nd or 3rd post.

Re: Nevada Jacks Custom

I got custom NJs a while ago, (check for a thread with "Pines Custom NJ"). When you read the thread you'll understand how I ended up with two sets, one on the original blanks and another on the second generation. IIRC Jim at NJ told me they have yet another blank they're using now that's even better. The two I have are both very nice.

Good customer service at NJ too, you can't go wrong there.

Are you talking about the 6 styles at the bottom of the page: 8 stripe, 6 stripe, 10g clay feel, 6 stripe Monaco, Bud Jones style, and NexGen style?

If so, then I have not heard any reviews of these. As far as ceramics go, I would echo what 2_h and MFC have already said: the chips are very nice and the customer service is great.

Re: Nevada Jacks Custom

Thanks for the comments! I have the NJ Skulls chips and I dont really like them because they are too textured. I dont like the way they shuffle.

On the NJ website, I was mainly talking about the ceramics and the 10g clay feel chips. From reading this forum, I definately want to do inlay as opposed to a label. I guess i just need to start getting samples and figure out what i like. I did read about the chiplab.com chips and i did look at their site. I am also interested in the new chips that palm imports has coming in february.

There is just so much to consider and I like to see and feel the chips before i really can decide. I really appreciate any comments..THANKS
