Also I like the Flame mold, so 2_hotty you are not alone. | I don't mind the flame mold, especially since I will be using a grand inlay that covers it.
As far as the "secret", as soon as I have all of the info from Dave, and permission to spill the beans, I will be posting. |

Chips: 4,306 | | | Re: Blue Chip custom question I know that me and MeridianFC had tried to get any order going before and it fell through. If anything happens I would be in for a small group project, ie 10 people or so. I would be looking at getting a cash set to have 2 different cash set, kinda like a primary and secondary set, changing back and forth at random, also its an excuss to get another set. Will have to save up, as it won't be like ASM where I can add on in the future. But I would be in for oh atleast 1300 chips, maybe 1500 but could go to 2000 if it would keep the group smaller. I like the idea of banding together to get something relatively unique made up and certainly to take advantage of the interesting colors and spot patterns.
I'd been wanting to get another clay set, for tournaments mostly, and BC is the only other game in town. I could just get another ASM set but I like many of the BC colors and patterns as well as there's a particular mold I'd like to work on building into the buy, yadda, yadda, yadda.
The group buys going are very good but none has exactly what I'm looking for, and if I'm going to drop that kind of cash I want to be really jazzed about the chips.
I'm sure I had a point here but I lost it.
If BC does open up the spot combos, who knows. I have a feeling that even if they do that there'll be some combos I really love that won't be part of a general offering. I had a secret dream that Dave would do any ASM type "come and get it all for a short time only" thing. He'd probably sell 30K chips in a week!
As always I agree about the flame mold. Sadly it blows. |

You wouldn't need to do a Group Buy unless you are trying to save on artwork fees.
Ok, since Dave never said anything to me about keeping quiet, here is the skinny so far.......
I want to create a custom set that uses the Venetian "Poker Room" looking inlay, and I started to mock it up based on the available edgespot combos, with grand inlays and to be done as the heavier weight chip.
This is what I had come up with.
After sending some images to Dave, and mentioning how nice it would be to have some more options available he proceeds to tell me that they were in fact already working on some ideas. Obviously this excited me, but then he asks if I want to see some samples, and I get really excited. After a couple of weeks, an envelope arrives with these......
From Dave: 1 3 moon Dk Blue 2 3 3/4 Forest Green 3 3 1/4 Dk Green 4 6 1/4 Dk Green 5 8 1/4 Salmon Please note that I did not send the 5 1/4 and a 7 1/4 they look just like the above 1/4 chips. On all 1/4 chips you can add a second color in edge spot so they alternate. 6 3 3/8 Horseshoe Purple The chips you get are made by hand they are not a first quality chips. The chips are for you to see color and configuration. After I drooled on them for a while, I emailed Dave asking about the color options. Would we be able to pick any color combos with these edges, etc. That was Saturday, so I would guess I will hear back from him soon. Whatever the options are, it is another step in a great direction for custom clay chips!
THANKS DAVE!! |

Am I the only person who hates the Grand inlay?
BTW did they change the flame mold some. It looks like there's some cross hatching I didn't recall from before. |

Seems interesting, hopefully one of the other molds may be available for a price.
