You do not criticize or make fun of the alleged need for more chips. That's what we have wives for.

L | Of the designs you posted, the purple one with the denom under the DC looks best. If you put the denom on the wine bottle side, I would make it more subtle, in a font that makes it look like it was brushed on the same way as the bottle and glass. |

L | Leonard, even though I'm really mad at you for taking me out of the last tourney you played in I love the sample set of your chips that you sent to me last year.
That said, I think you should get rid of the DC and replace it with a denomination like the second chip. Use that one on both sides. The chips are fantastic esp with bottle and glass graphic. |

Chips: 7 | | | Re: Help with my Chipcos i suggest two things. one, keep your current chips, design a wall sign, and post colors and denominations there. if you really want to go and change the chips i read you agonized and labored over to please some malcontents (yes, i am aware i dont know these people, and they are your friends, but as the proud owner of a large custom set of chipcos, i would label anyone who came into my home game and criticized my chips the same way) i suggest removing the suits from the outer ring of your face design and placing your denominations there, in a color that contrasts both your chip color and text color. please do not tamper with your design, it was your artwork that inspired me to use chipco as my manufacturer. and no, i didnt steal from your artwork, i just greatly liked it. http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...tml#post368864 |

I think Heinlein has much better books. Someone asked me once which Heinlein book one should start with, and I recommended Stranger, because it's the book that Heinlein was best known for. Unfortunately, that someone will never read another Heinlein book, as a result of being disapointed in the story. I now say, if you're only going to read one Heinlein book, read that one. Otherwise, skip it for awhile and start with something else. Now that there's movie adaptations of some of his other books, it's not the most famous one anymore anway.

Chips: 10,769 | | | Re: Help with my Chipcos OK, to revive an old thread, I have decided what I want to do. I am going to add the denom to both faces and to the edges of the chips:
On the $1, $5, and $25 chips the edges will look like this:
although the faces will look more like the first two images in this post.
I haven't decided yet on the blue vs white $1 chip issue. It will depend on the colors available, but I think blue will look better with my chips.

Chips: 113 | | | Re: Help with my Chipcos Having grown up in East Texas (Paris), I am suprised your buddies will even play with a set that says Bistro on them...
I like the idea of mixing in some denom chips. The group I play with still asks what the value is even though it is printed on the chip. Some folks just have that trouble, but they are my buddies, so I put up with them.
I know it would be a pain to mock up, but could you remove some of the denoms from the picture above and see what it will look like when they are mixed in a stack?
