| Opinions on Nevada Jacks Customs?
I've been trying to make up my mind as to where to go for my custom chips. I had eventually decided to go with Nevada Jacks, as I like the sandpaper texture.
However, I now have three sets of Nevada Jacks "Skulls" from three different batches, and I have serious concerns.
Batch 1 - Received 300 set from a promotion. Chips are pretty nicely coloured. Not deeply saturated, but acceptable. Lots of blurred ones.
Batch 2 - Ordered 300 from a Canadian distributor. Chips are not nearly as rich in colour. Side by side, you can easily tell how faded they are in comparison to Batch 1. Lots of blurred ones.
Batch 3 - Received 300 set from a promotion again. The $5 chips are so poorly faded that they look like the $25 on first glance. They look nothing like Batch 1.
The big problem is inconsistency. I was told that a certain amount of inconsistency is normal for the Nevada Jacks process, and that differences in hues are to be expected.
Out of the 900 or so that I received, I have maybe 400-450 that are of passable print quality. If that.
I do not want to order custom chips and find faded, blurred printing when I open the box, especially when I'm going to have to pay customs and shipping rates to Canada.
Has anybody had customs done by Nevada Jacks, and are they more consistent than their mass production runs?  |
