| Re-colouring existing edgespots? I've been pondering getting some clay Paulson Pharaohs, but I really hate the colour-scheme used on the $1 chip (white chip, with red & offwhite edgespots). I got some samples, and offwhite spot gets almost totally lost against the very white chip itself.
I'm pondering two options:
a) do not order any of the $1 chips, and instead get them fully custom made (eg. ASM's) with my own colour-scheme.
b) trying to find a way to colour the offwhite edgespots myself (this would certainly be the cheaper/faster option, thus the one I'd like to ask about here). Because the offwhite is so light in colour, from a purely visual perspective, this would look alright if covered over by almost any other colour (I did a few temporary trials with non-perm marker and it looked good).
So I guess my question is: has anyone tried this and been successful? Or, does anyone here know of any specific paints, etc, that could be used, and would obviously hold up well to the normal wear the chips would go through during play?
Thanks in advance for any insight you folks can provide.
