Chips: 10 | | | Heaviest real clay chips for custom order I would like to put together a 300 pc custom real clay chip order. Recently I collected Venetian, Orleans, and Rio chips that all weigh approximately 10.0g - I like the feel of these chips, and certainly don't want anything lighter.
What companies do small custom orders of 10.0 g or heavier? |

Chips: 5,832 | | | Re: Heaviest real clay chips for custom order BC is probably the only company that MIGHT be an option as they can apparently offer chips in 2 different weights (9g & 10g) but I'm not sure if this is available to the public. ASM is really the only other option but there chips are closer to 9g. Checkout the recent Protege chips by Sidepot.com as they are going to be offered in the 9g and 10g range.
If you are looking for 500k or more chips, you try Paulson/GPI. |

Chips: 1,670 | | | Re: Heaviest real clay chips for custom order I would double check the weight of those chips you have.
BC's chips come in two different weights and they vary. There is a California weight which is roughly 8.5-8.7 grams and there is a Las Vegas weight which is roughly 9.5-9.7 grams.
The quality BC produces is supperb
I would get samples first!
Palm Imports has a new chip that weighs closer to 10 grams. And they have a new mold that is comming soon. More than likely there chip will be heavier than the chips you have from Vegas.
I would get samples first!
The point of this story is don't take anybodys word for it, just get samples. |

I did order several real clay samples, but only one set was 9.5g everything else less.
I'll get some more samples from info in this thread and post everything together.

Chips: 12,174 | | | Re: Heaviest real clay chips for custom order Superb is a bit of a stretch IMO. They are getting better, but still have issues with their inlays being offcenter, oblong, etc. I'd put them in third place with ASM & Paulson ahead of them.

Chips: 393 | | | Re: Heaviest real clay chips for custom order All of the chips you mentioned are Paulson's and that isn't an option for customs, unless, as someone already joked, you want 500k. Now that TRKing's are gone, you really don't have much choice for custom clays. I know that BC does do custom orders, but I'm not sure that you can get that few on a custom order from them. SOmeone with more experience dealing with them may be able to tell you. Others have mentioned the palm imports, but I'm not sure when those will be ready or what customization options you will have. Honestly I'd get some samples from asm and see if you like them. make sure you get samples on different molds also because each mold has its own unique qualities. They will all be lighter than what you are looking for but the quality is top notch. In the end you may have to weigh whether or not weight is the deciding factor against other issues. |

Chips: 1,697 | | | Re: Heaviest real clay chips for custom order I used to feel as you did that only 10g would do, and I still prefer that weight, but when your whole set is 8.5-9g you really don't notice that much. Trust me, I played with 10g Paulsons for years and have been working with a custom ASM set now and I don't notice the weight thing at all. Would I prefer 10g, absolutely. Do I notice or mind my lighter chips, not a bit of it.
YMMV. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
