1) If you pay for 1400 chips you should get 1400 chips that are perfect for 1.35-1.45 per chip.
2) My extras just covered my issues with my chips, that is why i didn't send any back. Plus all my issue were with the bubble inlay, and since i can fix these with no issues now i really would never send any back.
3) I agree that these are hand made with old tools, BUT with the paulson chips that i have and owned stack sizes were all the same, and errors were very very low. And i have not seen inlay issues with paulsons like ASM.
In final since Paulson does not make customs, ASM is the best custom chip out there. I would and am ordering from them again, as they are great to deal with.
This is my 2c,

I paid $1k for 780 chips and I expect to get what I paid for. The chips are AWESOME. I am just a little upset about the bubbled inlays which causes the spinners. I know I can fix this myself and I probably will but I have to say that for all those people PREVIOUS to the last week or so received extras and the most recent ones did not. In my opinion, that sucks. Their extras might have cancelled out the few defected ones they received.
That is all I am saying. I am done posting on this thread because SOME people are taking offense to something that really does not concern them. |

And for what it's worth, you should know that there is a 99% probablility that jimb does read these when he just posted a response in the DalNeg thread and also see's the name of his company as the title of this thread.
There are probably hundreds of people here who have chips from ASM but I see maybe 3 to 5 people who are not all that happy and continue to voice their unhappiness here. So be it. It is your right.
I would not at all be surprised if the minority who makes their voices heard loudest will win in the end and kill any chance that ASM will offer any new special option to this group again. |

AS stated 100x, I LOVE my chips.
Be it as it may, I was not the only person that questioned the extra chips. I'll live with my spinners and fix them on my own. I also will continue to order chips for PCOL. It is not the product, it was a question of a VERY RECENT policy change. I guess because the people that have 5k posts on here makes them all-knowing and experts on business practice and customer service. No one needs to tell me about customer service or business practice being that my work life is totally centered around it. Good day to you all. |

Chips: 5,286 | | | Re: WORD from ASM...... I got my chips on 8/31, sent the "problem" chips back via ups within a day or so and got back chips today. I have yet to go through them other than to count them. But I love the turn-around time.
What is disappointing is that I made it clear that I would like some extras of each denomination (and was willing to pay for them) in order to ensure a complete set. I got extras on 3 of 6, but not on the 2 denoms that I ordered the most chips (200 of each.)
I feel like an a-hole going back to them again, any suggestions? |

Chips: 4,437 | | | Re: WORD from ASM...... My guess is that they sent you whatever extras they had available, but that they didn't have any for those other colors without making them. You'll probably have to place an actual order to get them, but it's certainly worth a try to send one more email just to be sure. |

Chips: 1,499 | | | Re: WORD from ASM...... Can someone give me a timeframe from the time your chips hit the finishing plant, to the time you get them?
On August 5th, I was told that my chips went into production on Aug 1st, and it would be 4-6 weeks from that day that I would receive them. Yesterday, I received this: "Your order should be ready for the finishing dept within the next two weeks.
You should have the order I am hoping by the end of Sept."
So, if it hits the finishing plant in two weeks, lets say Sept 21st, can they turn them around fast enough in that step to get them to me before the end of the month? My guess, not a chance in hell. They've overshot every other estimated deadline by a mile so far, so I'm thinking the end of the month is not going to happen.
I'm not being cynical, just realistic. When they say that my chips should be ready for the finishing plant in two weeks, I read that as 3 weeks minimum, more then likely 4 weeks. I have no idea what will be done to them there, so I don't know how much more time to add on.
I made a bet with someone that I wouldn't see my chips until October. It was a joke at the time, because no one thought they would take this long. If I can get odds, I'll extend that date to November.
So, how long are the chips in the finishing plant, and what exactly do they do there?
Also, since my chips aren't going to the finishing plant for another two weeks, does that mean that they have been in production for 7 weeks, or was I just lied to about them starting them on the 1st? | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
