Chips: 6,240 | | | Mold Mark on Ceramics- worth removing? Weve been experimenting with removing the tell tale injection mold dimple on ceramics- we can remove it totally but at a cost of .02-.03 per chip additional--- the cost is a moot point in reality but this is our internal cost to have it removed.
Assuming you dont even feel this cost-- does the dimple bother most people enough that they would prfer to not see it- or is it an accepted right of passage on ceramics and we shouldnt worry about it.

I, personally, would prefer to not have the injection spot on a ceramic chip if possible - provided, of course, the injection spot were removed prior to the application of graphics. I guess what I mean is that if it removing it means sanding down the grahics and the dot, this would make it even more noticable, but sanding it down prior to the graphics so you would never know it was there would make it awesome.

I would probably even pay a small amount for this, but I also haven't seen what the dimple is like on one of your ceramics.

That would be awesome if the pimple was removed. Or is it a dimple? It's not very simple, the dimple or the pimple. |

I know most people would opt for the no dimple look- but i wanted to make sure that the consensus wasnt viewed such as its sort of a trademark thing on ceramics and it should be left--
ok- maybe this WAS a dumb post-
Hmmm when you sand off the dimple a small hole remains-
ok- lets make the post- which is least favorable-- a pimple or a hole---
there we go
