I have my solid color ASM horseheads from last summers group buy and I would like to remove my labels that I put on these chips and convert the chips to a cash set with hotstamping. The labels on there are still in perfect condition but for the last few months I've been craving a quality hotstamped poker cash set. Labels are suprisingly easy to remove so now I'm on a mission.
I'm looking for cold hard facts about if horsehead chips will take a hotstamp. I spoke to Cathy at PC.com but she was only able to tell me that they don't do it and that they have not stamped HH in the 6 years she's worked there. I've seen older hotstamped HH (see link below) so I know it's been done in the past but I wonder if the texture on the chips make them hotstamp repellent.
Your thoughts or direction?
P.S. I do understand that a small % of my chips would be "ruined" during the process.
I believe its because the HH (as well as the H-mold and C/S) have a slightly smaller inlay area that doesn't work with their current HS machine. I seem to remember some discussion about this a while back that the A and Card/Dice molds will take the HS but none of the other molds.
