Unhappy Ceramic Chips

So I have decided that I really like the ceramics. I am going to customize them and am having a hard time figuring out the prices because of all the options. I want to put a full custom pic with denoms on them and edgespots. I also see that homepokerchips.com has a pretty cool ceramic (chipco?)and artwork that I could just add my name to and be done for 95c per chip. Is that really a good deal? I just can't tell what the final $ tally would be after the artwork for about 1000 of them. Anyone had any made? How much did they end up being? I am looking at all the ceramic manufacturers....chipco, br-pro, palmimports, abcgifts.....

Re: Ceramic Chips

No it's not a really good deal. Buying chipcos with that particular layout for .95c a pop is the equivalent of buying a bentley with the interior of a pinto. IMO there is no point in getting a "custom" ceramic unless it's yours from the ground up.

I had a price chart posted awhile back but the data got lost while i was trying to revise it (have no idea where that spreadsheet went), but on a set of 1000 you'd be looking at the ballpark of ~$1200 or so when all is said and done (artwork fees, shipping, etc.) for a completely custom chipco.

Personally, i went with the BR Pro's through Lynbark because i just couldn't justify the price of chipcos. About 90% of the graphic quality of a chipco at nowhere near the cost, in hindsight if i could go back and do it all over again i'd go the same route even if i could justify the cost for chipcos. Brent was a pleasure to work with as well. As for the other companies and their chips you'd have to get info from others. The only chips i can't recommend are the nevada jack ceramics, while they're easily the cheapest the graphic quality is muddy compared to all of the others.

Re: Ceramic Chips

id have to agree with mike.....Havin a stock chip and changing to name on it isnt custom...Especially at .95 a pop....You can get crystal oysters (same chipco chip) from mspatton for .85 a pop and they look a hell of alot nicer and you got a ton of color and demon choices with those....

Id go with lynbark or epokerdeals...cant go wrong for .71 a chip

Re: Ceramic Chips

Just popping in to echo everyone elses sentiments about Brent at Lynbark and BR Pros. I had the art made up by Fins and Brent at Lynbark handled the sale between us and the factory.

Delivery was fast and the chips are amazing, at an amazing price. Go with Brent at Lynbark.

Re: Ceramic Chips

Hi Kayos-

Our pricing is quite easy to figure out, no matter what options you'd like! The price you see on our website is the price you pay (and our website is now updated with new information and photos). I believe you will find our pricing very competitive with the others manufacturers. No extra costs for edgespots, text edges, different front and back image, etc. You can find more information in our marketplace and on our website.

Thanks,
Gene
