Chips: 125 | | | Is there an in-between for chips? Got my samples of Nexgens today. Not too fond of the feel. I am getting custom artwork done and am excited about my own labels. Is there an in-between chip from the Nexgens to the ASM, TR King, Paulson level/price? Ceramic or clay? Looking for that 60-70c price range for a good chip that feels like a chip, not hard plastic. Thanks!!! |

They arrived today and I am very impressed with their feel and handling. You can even label them if you desire and they go for less than 5 cents each: http://www.discountcasinogear.com/store/product893.html

If you are looking in the .60-.70 range, try some hotstamped TR Kings (.60 each plus $100 for a custom stamp), ASM blank or stamped (denoms/initials only), or try some of the cheaper ceramics available. Nevada Jacks has custom ceramics for .69 each and they are very nice chips in my opinion. TR Kings hotstamped unspotted are the best for clay I think at that price. |

Chips: 125 | | | Re: Is there an in-between for chips? Should have put this in the original post. I have 3 sets of cheaper chips and the new guys must look cool. Edge spots if clay, faux is just too plain. I am thinking ceramic, but can I get my design on them for about 70c? |

You can earn points by playing online and then purchase several decent sets (clay NJ or 2 types of ceramics) from www.nevadajacks.com. You just missed the chance to actually get a custom set of ceramics from NJ via www.pokerroom.com promo. Also, you can simply make money via the various cash bonus options at the pokerrooms.
When I cleared the PSO promo at PR, I was also up $74 including the cash bonus part. |

Chips: 683 | | | Re: Is there an in-between for chips? A good in-between in cost(comparing .04 for faux to 1.25 for edge spotted customs) are the new interlocking T mold chips(same mold as the samurai's) that are now available in solid color blanks from Holdempokerchips.com. AND as a bonus, MSPatton is a pleasure to deal with and his guarantee is not just words ......
They are going for .55 each if you buy 500 - so $275 for 500 nice 9g clay chips with an excellent mold -
But I too think the faux for less than a nickel each with labels are a great low cost alternative - I've seen many great looking sets here....

'must look cool'
Depends on your point of view really. Some people will say that old style plain hot stamps look cool. Others will say that ceramic NJ's with their own face on them look cool. Those people are wrong of course, but its still a valid point.
