My chips are here! ... almost :(

Well, my chips are here in town. For whatever reason, Canada Post didn't even bother to try to deliver the parcel (probably because of the amount due on delivery, though that didn't stop them before). Instead, the regular mail person left a delivery notice in the mailbox with the amount owed and where/when to pick it up. After a somewhat rude conversation (on their end) with the local post office outlet at Shoppers Drug Mart where I need to pick it up, I found out that even though they didn't try to deliver it here they won't have it there until after 3pm.

NOOOOO!

I have to be asleep before then, due to working nights. So I won't get to see my wonderful custom ASMs for another 6 or 7 hours. I'm going to have nightmares this afternoon.

Re: My chips are here! ... almost :(

Oh I can SO relate to this. My order was shipped on a friday and arrived in the UPS depot in the next town, only a couple of miles away by early the next morning. Unfortunately there was no way to get my hands on them until they attempted delivery the following monday afternoon That was a looooooong weekend.

Re: My chips are here! ... almost :(

I put in my order at the end of January, finalized my artwork on Feb 3 or something. Do a search on here for "casino newfoundland", I have a bit of detail on the timeline there. I'd elaborate but I'm about to head to work.

And I didn't get a chance to get my chips today, but I'll have them early tomorrow morning!

Re: My chips are here! ... almost :(

If you don't mind how much chips did you order? Did ASM declare it at the full price? And how much did you pay in taxes?

Thanks,

Chad

I ordered 1045 chips (received 122 extras, will post about that shortly after my pictures upload). ASM did declare it at the full price, $1159 USD. I had them sent via USPS ($90.50 USD shipping), so I ended up paying $199.37 CAD when they got here, which was the tax and the $8 handling fee. They shipped late last Thursday, and arrived here in town yesterday (Friday). Not bad considering I'm not the closest to a major center.

Well, I can deal with the tax - it's the UPS Rape Fee that I wanted to avoid
