I made a last minute change to my ASM Customs order. They were very accomodating. During the course of the email string, I asked about an estimate on delivery.... Here is the response I got:

Hi,
Your order is on the assembly table. We are waiting for imperial blue and dg peach for your order and expect to have it shipped to the Portland Plant on the next truck.
I would anticipate receiving the order in 4 weeks (or 5) ....... that's my guesstimate.
Email me in 2 weeks and I can give you a better idea.

FWIW, I finalized artwork on May 4th and my card was charged on May 31st. Also FWIW, I ordered the "H" mold.

Hope this helps some of you that are jonesing as much as I am to lay your hands on those custom beauties.

Quick bump for all you folks waiting on ASM customs

I finalized my artwork back in either the end of Feb or early March...and I still don't have the chips. Good luck, pallie...

I was originally told that they would be ready at the end of April. Then the middle of May, and now it's the middle of June...no chips.

It's amazing the trust...what other company would you let charge your credit card two months before having the product? Smurf...my chips were charged and paid for. Poker Chips has had that money in the bank earning interest...........and my desire for these chips is slowly losing interest.

They'd have a pile of left over custom chips from folks who's credit card denied the charge if they waited until the chips were done. Any custom work for just about any product needs cash up front, no one will buy "Bob's card room , East BumF***, NY ". Any custom work needs cash upfront. Most folks that read the GB threads should realize that it takes about two months for custom clays, if you want quick you'll need to buy cermaics from NJ.

Two months seems to be a pipe dream. Many people have been waiting much longer than that.

We are all told that the time should be around 14 weeks if I recall correctly.

Don't worry, it's worth the wait.

I have not received mine yet from the first buy and I think that I'm coming up to 10 weeks now since inlay was finalilzed.

Couldn't have been put any better. My card was charged about a month ago. I was told about 2 weeks ago that they would be on the NEXT WEEK's truck to PORTLAND, blah blah blah.......

Here we are today and I just heard that they are awaiting ARC YELLOW and LAVENDER.

It seems like everyone gets the same runaround just different colors are used as the "HOLD UP'S".

I want my chips!!!

Long waits for chips, unfortunately up to 20 weeks, are a fact of life when buying custom chips from ASM.

Personally, I am willing to wait and pu up with it simply because their customer service is superb and the options we have for customization are amazing. Also, the owner of the company sometimes reads these boards and posts here along with doing specific edgespot patterns for us.

I know it's frustrating, the wait for my first set of customs from them was about 14-16 weeks or so. It is well worth it to drum up the patience and wait.

Hell, I placed a plain, non spotted, no inlay Day glo order with them before I placed my new spotted custom order. It looks like I am going to end up getting the new spotted chips BEFORE the non custom Day Glo chips =P

Look at the bright side. How often have we had the opportunity to buy customized chips with our own edge spots other than if we were a real casino.

It is pretty well documented how long the wait time on ASM's are. Going back to when 312's were the only choice 10-12 weeks was still the norm. Even if I had to wait 6 months I would not hesitate in ordering from ASM again.
