Custom ASM inlay - use of defunct casino names. Discuss Custom ASM inlay - use of defunct casino names, on ChipTalk.net the place to go for your Poker chips and gambling tips. Read it in Custom Chips General.
Would I be correct in saying that ASM would refuse to make you chips with inlays that featured now closed casinos, like Sands or similar, or does it depend if someone still owns the copyright (I figure someone will for the sands, but others I'm not so sure)??

They won't do it.
If for no other reason they don't want to piss off the chip collectors of the world.
Re: Custom ASM inlay - use of defunct casino names
Supposedly there are rules for casino chip companies that still manufactur for casinos that they can not do that.
That is just what I was told. They said they would do it if you had permission from whomever owns the rights to the name in question.
Good Luck
I have also been told there is a whole lawyer thing involved too.

They won't do it.
Now if it was for the Zands Casino or the Dudes, who knows.

Best example of the answer to this question is posted by Noelsarchs. He wanted to clone the Palmas casino inlay to use on his order and they said no. I think they said it was still under copyright protection as well. BUT they allowed him to do a similar one by removing a word from the text.
