Looking for anyone famaliar with Matsui chips- weve been speaking to them for some time now and they may allow us to use their chips for custom inlays-- but.. they are expensive--at least to our market--
Wondering if anyone ownes these chips- and what their opinion(s) are regarding quality, etc

I talk to one of their reps almost weekly. I don't think they are expensive at all. In fact I think they are quite the opposite. I also think they are a marvelous chipmaker with two phenomenal chip lines. I'm also wondering what news you have in the last 7 days about an inlay composite clay chip, becuase so far Matsui is not at all happy with their progress towards developing one (and neither is anyone that has seen one).
THe chips we looked at we were quoted .72 FOB Japan-- so landed were looking at perhaps .77 ea. Then we have to print and install an inlay, make a profit and our resellers have to make a profit- we had hoped maybe .50 per chip but I thought .72 was a bit pricey for us. Marvelous chip though-- I agree-
Wonder why Japan would have a problem putting an inlay in their chips-
inless I misunderstood your reply- are you saying they are having a difficult time with this process?
