I spoke to Blue Chip today to try to get a feel for what it would take to get a group by going and here is the information that I could pull out of them....

Min Buy - 10,000 Chips
Only Mold option would be the Flame Mold
We could choose from their standard 30 or so colors for base and edgespots, however they will not let us "Copy" Casino chip edge spot combos.
We could use whatever edgespot combos they currently manufacture.
Base artwork would be about $150, plus $25 add'l for each denom change. (All depending on the complexity of the artwork).

Cost would be at about .80 cents per chip plus artwork.

Figure 60 days from final artwork, chip approval for shipping.

Anyone have any interest in trying to get something going.

I am particularly interested in try to do something along the lines of the 1995 WSOP Clays seen Here:

EDIT: After posting all those pictures, I want to reiterate, that I am interested in moving forward on a custom, even if we go in a different design direction if there is interest.

Those definately aren't the 1995 WSOP chips. Those are from the 80s or 70s. In 1995, Bud Jones made the chips for the WSOP. You can find pictures of them somewhere around here.

I'd be interested if those edgespot-patterns are available. I like the half moons and the edgespots on the $5000.
