Hello all need some serious help here....
I have been messing around with Photoshop to make a custom chip inlay and then with Poboy's and some others help I was able to put together an inlay. Well I decided to move onto creating a chip body mock up again using Poboy's help and some others as well I had some of the basic down but nothing that was coming close to looking presentanble.

Well now I have done something with the photoshop when I begin to work on a new chip all of my color text changes to grey. I can't find anywhere that I checked something that is causing this to happen its definately a brain teasing moment for me. I don't even come close to using this on any kind of regular basis and it is now driving me crazy.

Any ideas on what I may have done ?

Go to mode and click RGB. Also, when you start up a new page it will ask you for a default color mode, which is probably on Grayscale. Change that to RGB as well.

Are you starting a new file, or working on your current one?
Are you trying to mock up a whole new idea, or just different denoms?

It sounds to me like perhaps you've inadvertently turned off (one or more of) the color channels in your PSD documents ... if you can't already locate the Channels window, check under Windows > Show/Hide Channels and make sure all the channels are turned ON.

Sorry Iwas starting a whole new idea. I was going to work on the image a little more and then put a chip body around it. I have gotten fairly good at using the sterps to create the inlay and the next thing I knew was I had this happen. I will check all the stuff mentioned here and report back

IF you were working (in color) and then all of a sudden it changed to black & white, you probably accidently turned off the Color Channels ... this has happened to me on occasion ... you probably accidently hit the shortcut on the keyboard .. if that's NOT the problem then you probably somehow changed new documents to defaulty open in Grayscale Mode instead of RGB Mode.

Yet another way to inadvertently turn off Channels - there is a Channels tab in the Layer Palette. Make sure you didn't click off any eyeballs there.

It had accidently changed to grayscale its all fixed now and I have tried this liek I said I am not to artistic so this is what I have come up with so far its only a vision at this point though
