Which edgespots for my ASM order?

Hello everyone,

Now that I'm about set for my artwork, I still have hesitations as to which route I should go with my edgespots. Here are the options I'm considering:

1. 414 contrasted

2. 414 muted

3. Casino style progression

Feedback appreciated. Thanks to all.

Re: Which edgespots for my ASM order?

My answer on this is it depends. If you are on a budget you might go with the first set but if you managed to free up some more cash I'd go with the casino progression and really take advantage of this limited time offer.

BTW, I see you have not used my favorite edge spot combo (6a14). If you are looking to spend some more cash I'd really go for some beauty spot combos that won't be available after the 15th (like 614, 4d14, 2a12, etc).

I love the changes to your inlay. These chips are going to rock!

Re: Which edgespots for my ASM order?

I'm afraid I'm not on a budget here . The price difference is not very high since I'm ordering less of the higher denoms (100 x lavender and 40 x yellow).

My concern is I'm afraid of being lured by the "limited offer" thing and go for the fancy set, but end up with a less restrained and coherent whole, which I might regret in the long run. On the other hand...

As for the 614, I am allowed a 5th chip since I have to order 500, so I was planning on a couple of 614 or 6a14 custom "dealer" chips.

Re: Which edgespots for my ASM order?

You can count on me to vote "casino progression" every time. My one drawback with the American Beauties was the sameness of the edgespots. Of course, with them being a non-denom set, it makes more sense.

I like the contrast 414s. If you're not on a budget, I'd consider making the $500 and $1000 614s. Did this on the set i have ordered and really like the way it looks in chipforge.

I would personally think that number 1 and 2 from the first group along with 3 and 4 from the last design.

Re: Which edgespots for my ASM order?

Personally, I like the variety so would vote for #3 plus I like contrasting versus muted style. As for the 414 styles, how about tilting them 45 degrees to get an "X" style instead of a "+" style. I believe ASM will do this on request.

I would have gone that way if they'd made the 514 available: 314-414-514-614 was my original dreamset. I want to keep options open for a solid "1" and a 214 "5", and I'm just too neurotic to have two denoms the same and the rest different. I'm even too neurotic to jump from 314 to 414 and then straight to 614 I guess... 614 shall be my 5th chip, a custom "dealer" chip. I didn't put it in the lists here because it doesn't need to be coherent.

Thanks all, keep the voting and comments going!
