Custom Tournament ASMs

What edgespot configuration do you prefer:

#1

or

#2

or

another option (with the same number of colours for each chip, and using only 1/4 inch spots).

Original post:

This is my provisional choice of colours for the ASM special edgespot offer. Any comments are welcome. I have chosen primary colours only, and I have chosen to make the colours of the chips repeat so that the number of different colours are minimised to make the set look more coherent.

The inlays may or may not be something like the inlay on the picture. Now it's very generic. I may come up with a theme.

I plan on getting the following number of chips making a 30-player T10000 tournament possible:

360 x 25
300 x 100
240 x 500
100 x 2000
Total: 1000 chips "worth" 359000.

I have chosen a 2000 chip as I otherwise would need both a 1000 and a 5000 chip. I chose a 2000 and not a 2500 because that would make the last step 4x instead of 5x (more flexible), and because it's easier to count in 2000s rather than 2500s.

The chips may double as cash chips with the denomination divided by 100.

TT

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

I like them. The simple inlay is easy on the eyes, and they seem like a clean tourney setup. Good luck!

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

I'm also getting a $2000 chip instead of the silly but more traditional $1000. Love your red 500!

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

I have an alternative edgespot configuration. I think it makes the 25 and 500 look better, but of course it makes the edgespots less diverse.

What do you think?

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

Change the 100 to a 414 for the win

Your 500 chip now looks EXACTLY like my $5

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

I really like your mockups! The mold along with the simple old school inlay really works. Your breakdown looks good and well thought out with tourney and cash sets. How about green and black spots on the 2000?

That inlay is one of my favorites of all the mockups.

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

Thanks for all the comments. I didn't want the inlay overloaded, and I want to make the denomination stand out clearly. I checked that the denomination is easily visible by printing the out the inlay, attaching it to an ASM chip which I put in the middle of the table. No problems.

The breakdown is thought of like this:

At 30 players T10000 everybody starts with

12 x 25 (Total 360)
7 x 100 (Total 210 + 90 for colouring up the 25s = 300)
6 x 500 (Total 180 + 60 for colouring up the 100s = 240)
3 x 2000 (Total 90, no colouring up the 500s)
28 chips each = 10000.

If only 22 players, the number of 25s per player can be increased to 16. At 18 players or less, everybody can have 20 25s.

A T5000 tournament is also possible with adjustment of the number of 500s and 2000s for each person.

The font is Verdana at this stage. It may change to a more classical font.

Every colour appears exactly twice to make the set coherent and still enough diversity. If I put black on the 2000, there will be three chips with black on them, which I think is too much.

Re: Custom Tournament ASMs

I have added a poll. The result may change the outcome of the order.
