Why only 314 for your $5 chip?

I'm assuming that one is used in your cash game along with the $1 while the $25 and up is for tournies.

I'm only getting ten (10) each of the blue and red chips. I wanted to make sure that if I wanted a cash set in the future that I could get them. I tried like heck to come up with a red chip I liked, but I couldn't. I kind of conceded the red 314 dg yellow combo and thought it looked nice within the framework of the set. I would love to hear recommendations for a red chip but that is not of immediate concern. If I get cash chips they will include the blue 414 and some version of a red $5, as well as a grey (solid or 214) 25-cent chip.

You might want to change the 314 to 614 because I believe the 314 will be available going forward while the 614 is only available till 4/15; might need to double check jimb's post on this though.

Also, a 214 to 414 to 614 is a nice, clean progression if you are into the whole progression thing.

Very Nice. I am a BIG fan of Simple graphics (and also Palmas by default). I would have went with a simple Red font for the denom but that is my personal preference.

I couldn't come up with a chip I liked that had 614 spots. The Palmas has an alternate 500 chip, an orange with 514 blue, but I just didnt like any of my chips with a 614 spot.

It's kind of an odd looking palm... didn't know what it was until I read the end of your post... thought it was a flower like the nat'l flower of D.R. or something. Looks good but just not like a palm to me. The other thing I notcied is that it tends to crowd the denom esp. the higher denoms... I consider moving it up which also might allow you to make the denoms a tenny bit larger which could be good with the gradient. I liked the horse but this is nice also.

Also with the San Cristobal, where did you come up with that name? I recently did a search of the Dominican Republic so I could find a suitable name for my palmas clones myself and came up with all sorts of nice DR names....My favorite though, and it's actually really funny, but there is a province in the Dominican Republic with the name Monsenour Nouel....which is MY NAME. almost.
OMG, I just solved my own problem with my new chip design, I'll use that name as the city at the bottom of the chip!! Now that my other co buyers for the first buy are all set, I can do what I want with this new set I guess. Will have to sleep on this idea...

Reyes is my birth name I am adopted. I thought it fit better with the overall theme. I just typed in Dominican Republic Cities in yahoo! and found this one. I liked it and it fit in the space well. Also, Reyes is the Spanish word for kings.
