Chips: 5,839 | | | Contest: Design my Chips I'm looking to add a couple more chips to my current ASM set ( here) and I'd like some assistance in coming up with the designs. The winner will get a free sample set of my current set of chips (grey, pink, blue, red, green & black but no orange). The contest will run till April 7th, 11:59p.
Rules:
I looking for 2 chips: a .25c chip and a new $1 chip. These chips need to fit in with my current chips. I should note the $1 is my workhorse chip and the design should take that into account. Also, I'm not obsessed with the perfect chip progression as long as the set flows well.
For the .25c chip, you can't use any existing base colors I've used (grey, orange, pink, blue, red, green and black) plus no DG colors for the base. I'm open to any color and spot style that works with my existing chips except solid, 3D14 or 4D14.
For the $1 chip, you must use a Blue base color and any edgespot style other than solid, 3D14 or 4D14. A major plus would is being able to use this chip with my current 312 Blue $1 chips.
I should also note that I'm going to be redoing my $25 and $100 chips to be 4D14 and 6A14 with the same colors; I'm not sure which will be which style though.
I will be the sole judge as to the winner and in the event of a tie, I will work out an equitable agreement with the winners. Please only post 1 entry to this thread with your submission. If you post more than 1, I will only except the 1st one posted and someone else could use the combos from your 2nd entry. Feel free to startup a new discussion thread if you need to. Make sure to post a set of stacks from Chip Forge with the mockups.
Also, I reserve the right to blah blah blah blah blah any of the rules or conditions at any time.

Initially, I'll just purchase 50 or so of these chips to guarantee that I can reorder them later. It would be a nice option if the new ones could be used alongside of my current ones if I needed them but that's not a requirement. |

Chips: 2,153 | | | Re: Contest: Design my Chips Here's mine. I tried a brown w/DGyellow too, but Ithink the yellow .25 works well with your existing setup. I went with a 214 yellow w/lavender, and a 4a14 blue w/white and DG orange.
I realize that a $1 is the basis of a lot of home games and that some people prefer to have it fancied up, but I chose to keep a white edge mixed in there with it because while it may be used the most, you always want to leave the fancier edges for the higher denom chips so that they seem like they are worth more. Just my .02

Chips: 2,153 | | | Re: Contest: Design my Chips heheh so what are you trying to say, you don't like my $1? I think it looks good like that, because it seems like it's dressed up yet it's subtle. In some cases less is more, some people should realize that, especially around here.......What was I rambling about?? Oh yeah, do you think the $1 is too plain for you still?

The fact that you mentioned it made me think that I should point it out. I've personally been mocking up a lot of 4A14 samples. I don't consider a 4A14 a simple chip at all.

Chips: 2,445 | | | Re: Contest: Design my Chips Darn, had some mocked up and the page froze. Another question - what about using the 4 1/4 or 6 1/4 with half the spots the body color (creating a 2 1/4 or 3 1/4)? That could leave the impression of the body color spots, so you could still see it.
Also, any chance you may add a $500, or is purple available to us?
