Hey everyone! I have been coming to this site for sometime now, but usually just to drool over everyone else's cool chips! However with ASM offering the new edge spots for a limited time...I couldn't pass up on finally getting my own chips. However, I have never designed an inlay before so I have no clue what exactly I'm doing!
I am an avid videogame freak ever since Atari came out but didn't hit my stride until the NES came out. So taking a nod from yster's whose chips look absolutely amazing...I decided to also make up my fantasy video game chip set. So special thanks for yster for realizing how cool video game chips could be!
Here are my illustrator files all smashed on one sheet and also the chip mockups to show you what label goes on which chip. The first thing you will notice is I do not have any denominations. I realize this might not look the most professional, but we rarely have consistant buy in tournaments and constantly change stakes in our cash games. My friends and I have been playing with non-denom chips for over 10 years now so I don't think this should be a huge problem for us. Just letting you know before you guys bite my head off!
PICS DELETED.
The thinking behind this was to create two sets of five chips each that we could mix and match depending on the colors we feel like using...or if we need to combine them all for a huge tournament it won't be a problem either.
Colors of chips are all personal tastes so I'm really looking for critiques on the design of the inlay since I've never done it before. I know that the black ring and rings in general might not be a good idea, but from pictures I have seen on this sight of other people who have had rings on their inlays it seems like the quality is good enough. Please let me know if this isn't the case.
Thanks in advance. Unlike a lot of other boards on the web...this site maintains a sense of maturity. Thanks again!
