I stumbled on this site while trying to gather some information about how to design custom chips and have been very impressed about the feedback and constructive criticism everyone has given others. I have never done anything like this before and could use any advise about what I need to do to get my custom chips made. Here is what I have so far:
Any suggestions about what chips I would be happy with would be appreciated. I would like to keep the price to around $1 per chip. I was thinking the font color for the denom and "Deuce's" would match the edge spots. Thanks in advance.
Looks fine to me. The font size and what not will all come out well. The only things I don’t like are the cards. I don’t like the concept of them in general but aside from that they seem to be more of photograph quality and to me it doesn’t go well with the rest of the image because it’s more of a raster quality image. If you are dead set on having the cards I would find some clip art cards to replace those. I have some if you're interested... Anyway, that’s just me.
Oh and as far as having your state on the back, I would make it bigger or it might not come out very clear.

As for the chips, you might want to look at the specials right now being offered by ASM to ChipTalk members. Some of the edgespots they are offering are being offered only until April 15, though, so you might have to move quickly.
A couple of the threads discussing the current deals are here:
There are actually many other threads discussing these chips right now so you really want to take some time and read as much as you can.
Also, ASM chips are sold through pokerchips.com so you'll want to check out their website, although you will not find any information on the custom edgespots that they are now offering exclusively to ChipTalk members.
Make sure you read about other chip makers too because there are a number of very good chips out there. Also, if you have the time, get all the samples you can before making a decision.
Oh, the inlay looks good too. If you go with ASM, they'll help you finalize it for no extra cost.
I think you should have the shape of your state blended with the background with the denom inside, I don't like the way the state is now. I also agree about the playing cards they should be more clipart to match the rest of the design.
If you haven't decided what chips you want to put these on you should get samples.
NJ and BR Pro are resonable priced custom ceramics, chipcos while more expensive are the best ceramics. If clays then ASM or TR King.
