I'm going to order some ASM's for cash and tourney set no $ or decimal points in a
25 100 500 1000 and maybe 5000 in standard colors for the denoms but thinking
DG yellow for the 1000's and DG orange for the 5000. What would you use for a good edgespot progression?

Personally, I think you just design each chip independently and work the colors together first using any combination you like. But considering that you can get many of these edge spots in the future, I would lean toward the 614 or 6A14 and 4d14 right now because you do not know if those will be available again in the future. Besides, I love chips with lots of edge spots and to me I would go from 3d14 to 4d14 to 614 or 6A14 and it doesn't matter how they get ordered.

I second that, though its good to have a complete design concept in mind, i would save your bullets for the 614 and 4D14 chips. You can always order the remaining in the future.
First, i think you should have $$$ on your inlay. Denoms without $$$ just look unfinished to me unless your set is specified as a tourny set. Even tourny sets sometimes have the $$$ sign but i had never seen vice versa.
Progression, usually u move from simple to most complex. Complex doesnt necessary mean more edge spots as i think the V-spots are more complex than the 614. But given the options we have to work with, its safe to say that the number of spots are the indication of complexity.
