Chips: 2,142 | | | Re: My ASM Chip Design I understand that, but I think you can still do that by at least changing the spot patterns. Maybe a 212 for the .25, a 312 for the 1, a 314 for the 5, a 414 for the 25, and maybe a 4a14 for the 100. Just in my eyes it would make for a more tasteful set, you know?

I've got a custom set of ASMs in the works and went with a 414 edgespot on all denoms because i prefer that layout and i think the common edgespots make it look like a true set. However, I also went with more colorful edgespost, using almost all dayglo colors for the 414 spots.
I think mixing in various edgespot patterns can work, but I think it can also backfire and make a set looked pieced together. All comes down to preference. Like i said, your chips so make sure you like 'em. |

I think so. You see so much of the inlay that it would be pretty hard for the set not to work together, you'd have to pick some pretty ugly colors for the set not to look good as a whole.

As far as picking ugly colors, I've seen it done And what's ugly to one person might be perfect to another. It all comes down to personal preference, which is the point I was making in my original post. What you think is boring, I may find very cool (for example, i think having a cash game set of solids would be sweet!), and what you think is a great layout with lots of varying edgespots may look busy and overdone to me.
In short, it's great to get feedback, weigh all the options, and in the end choose the set that you like best. -m
