Poker Chip Mock-ups

I'm about to begin the process of creating my own custom set, or at least attempt to begin. Im curious to know what software program most of you use to plot out your ideas. Here are links to what i'm talking about.
For example these World Champions Chips:
http://chiptalk.net/forum/member-mem...-ceramics.html

What program can you use to create a mockup set like that?

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

i used adobe illustrator for those. what kind of chip are you thinking of doing? for some of the clays, you can use the chip factory here or the sidepot factory, but for a custom ceramic, probably have to go with illustrator. i (and i'm sure plenty of others here) will be willing to do some mockups for you if you like. post your ideas and watch everybody take off with their drafts.

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

The chips I'm trying to replicate are Bellagio tourny chips as seen in the season 3 WPT Championship. I don't have any really good close-ups but the chip design/pattern is the same as the $100 and $25000 WSOP 2005 replicas. The Bellagio tourney chips look are all like that but with different colors and inlays. I believe the actual chips are bud jones so I'm looking to go with either chipco or NJ. Here are two pics I found of these chips and a pic from the 2005 WSOP reps that uses the same edgespots/rolling edge design.

http://chiptalk.net/forum/custom-chi...questions.html To the Bellgio Tourney chips

http://chiptalk.net/forum/bostonpoke...+wsop+replicas To the 2005 WSOP Ceramics, the $100 and the $25000 are the design im lookin for.

For the inlay I want a big faded "R" in the background similar to the "B" on regualr bellagio chips.
Then "REITMEIER" across the middle in the same type font on regular
bellagio chips.
"No Cash Value" in smaller normal font curved along the top of the chips
"Poker Room" in same font as NCV curved along bottom of chips
Denominations in red between "REITMEIER" and "Poker Room"

If I had illustrator I could probably do it myself. How much is illustrator?

If anyone wants to mock something up that would be great. Just scanned this pic below. These are the chips up close. If I do go with this theme I would only want four denoms. $1000, $5000, $25,000 and $100,000. Unsure what colors other than Black/Yellow (similar to 05 WSOP $5000 chip) for the $25,000 and Yellow base/Greyish for the $100,000. The $1000 and $5000 I would have to decide on red or blue as seen in the picture.

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

have you looked at the custom nj's offered on HPC?
http://www.holdempokerchips.com/prod...p?prod=BTSET04

pretty close to what you're looking for and all the hard work is already done. as far as the diamond on the rolling edge: i know nj won' do it; br pro has done it, but i don't think they do anymore (could be wrong); but chipco will. only problem with the chipco is that they aren't very centered (at least they weren't on the ones i had done). personally, i would go with either the br pro or the nj, before the chipco, but that's just me. the artwork you want should be pretty simple though. i'm going to start now.

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

I'm not familier with BR Pro. What are they? Any pics/examples?

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

the tikis and the kokopellis are on the first molds. capstone just got a custom set on their new mold. the pics in my thread of the world chamions are on br pros new mold also. havent received them yet to feel the difference with their original mold though. i think they're a good mix of the nj's and chipco. they have the awesome sharpness in the graphics of the chipco, but stack a little better and dont have the white ring. they dont stack as well as the njs and have a bit more of a ceramic sound, but have sharper images. (again, this is with the original ones i have, and i think they've improved the stacking a bit with the new mold).

Re: Poker Chip Mock-ups

Thats a good start. I think the denom is too big and too much in the middle. Try the "Poker Room" curved along the botton like the NCV on the top. Look at the chipstacks in the above picture. You can see in those that the denom is alot smaller and a little further down.
