hot stamp idea, want critique please

was thinking of doing custom hot stamp like 99evil...on TRK's, as i have always wanted customs...

any thoughts, on my first ever mock-up for a hot stamp?

thanks in advance...

*about the symbol-the symbol is an "evil-eye" -Moorish in origin, used to post on homes and gates to ward of evil spirits, W Somerset Maughm put it on all his books (and was seen on the door of the "swamp" on MASH-home of many a poker game...

font changes, wording etc..this is very rough and i am in no means a graphic artist..

I don't know much about hotstamping, but I'd worry about that font being readable. I suspect you'd need a larger fontsize.

I think there's too much whitespace in your design.

Personally, I'd be tempted to drop the text altogether and just put a much larger evil eye on there.

Re: hot stamp idea, want critique please

Do the layout on your design software (paint, photoshop or whatever) when you're done resize the chip the actual size on your monitor (hold a real chip on your monitor to match the size. If the graphics look too small fix 'em. Your current design should work, just increase the font and make the symbol larger. Dennis told me I couldn't have any large areas of gold, but your design looks like it won't have any issues. Get it designed, make it a pdf and e-mail it to Dennis, he can tell you if it's do-able. I couldn't get my adobe illustrator copy to open on his end so I sent him a pdf of my design. Just waiting to hear if it's ok then I pay for it and wait - Dennis said 4-6 weeks.

I almost use the copper bold font for mine, but my compnay uses that font and I don't want to be reminded of work while I'm playing.

Also remember that the hot stamp area is about the same size as an in-lay area when you're making your mock-up, so keep it well within the small crowns of the chip.

Re: hot stamp idea, want critique please

Too much white space. Text and logo should be bigger. I would try and incorporate a denomination in there, but that is just me.

To get some good ideas, why not look at some old hot stamp chips from real casinos? There are a lot of really great ones out there.

In order to do denominations, youmust do a seperate hotstamp for each one. You can do a denom on one side and your custom stamp on the other. Unless you feel like blowing $100 for each denom hotstamp
