Chips: 1,577 | | | Design help needed! Having used my free trials of both Photoshop and Illustrator, I need help creating an inlay mockup to show a friend! If anyone can put this design together, I'll be sure to get them a sample set (if the chips get ordered).
What has been envisioned:
On one side...
"Mack's PLAYROOM" centered on the chip. PLAYROOM is in a kid-like font - like something you'd see on a Dr. Seuss book. The P and M are slightly taller than the other letters, and each letter in PLAYROOM is a different (but bright) color. "Mack's" would be in a simple no-serif font, and would be on top of "PLAYROOM", filling in the space between the P and the M. The "Mack's" font would be small enough so that it would not be higher than the P or M. Sort of like this, with the "Mack's" dropped down... M A C K ' S PLAYROOM
Around the top curve of the inlay would be "Est. 2002", and the bottom would be "Hamilton, Ontario"
On the other side:
Top part has a picture like the teddy, rocking horse, easel... bottom part has the tournament denom (5, 25, 100, 500) in the same font as PLAYROOM or another kid-style font.
I know there's a lot of talented people out there. Can I get any help? (Or a way to get another free trial of Illustrator or Photoshop?)

Do any of these strike your fancy?
Once you let me know that, I will start from there and see what we can get done for you.
From there I'll play with the typography to make a "logo" from the font, and then work on the overall design.

I definitely like the Suess Bold font for Playroom. I'm looking for a simpler font for "Mack's"... something along the lines of Century Gothic. I want Mack's in black, while Playroom will be multicolored - for the contrast between the two.
How's this help? |

What denominations are you planning on doing?
Also can I use ANY kids toys or is there an age range you are shooting for? Also can I use my own art for the toys, or are the ones you posted preferred? |

I don't know if there is too much detail for such a small print area, but thought it would fit your theme nicely: |

Also can I use my own art for the toys, or are the ones you posted preferred? | Denoms will be 5, 25, 100, 500, NCV... it would be a tournament/cash set for stud, which was why I was thinking of avoiding the $; however, since it would use standard casino colors for the chips, it's not that much of a problem (the setup played is T2000 for $20).
The toys shown are representative of what my 3-year-old plays with (this planned set is for her Godfather). As a result, I would need: a rocking horse, teddy bear or doll, and paintbrush/easel. The blocks look good, as she plays with those; other ideas would be a little black cat (her pet) and maybe a toy drum... I only need 4 toys, since I'm planning on putting a picture of her face on the NCV.
To help with chip colors, I'm thinking of ASM GB#6, GB#10, GB#11, Green 3D14 with w/ DG pink & white spots, and solid blue for NCV. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
