Chips: 1,493 | | | Pharaoh's At Five Star Don't know if anyone noticed it yet or posted about it, but Five Star is now selling denominated Pharaoh's for $1.09 each, any quantity. Guess it was just a matter of time! (I am not affiliated with Five Star, just an observation). Competition for Michael Patton and Apache. http://www.5stardeal.com/expand.asp?...254&subcat=105 | | Sponsored Links | |

When they originally went up at 5star they were only .99/chip. That changed to 1.09/chip a couple hours later. Guess it was a mistake or someone complained. |

Chips: 18,645 | | | Re: Pharaoh's At Five Star I've bought lots of stuff from 5-Star and don't really have any complaints. But for a few cents more I'm giving my Pharaoh's business (today, in fact!) to Michael at holdempokerchips, because of his help in getting these chips produced. But competition is a good thing!

Chips: 1,493 | | | Re: Pharaoh's At Five Star Yeah, I bought some make up chips from HPC too, but a couple weeks ago. I appreciate what Michael does for members. It is just a little bit. Still, he's got to be considering a change in price structure as he will be a bit off (high) on lower chip orders now ($1.17). Quote: |

Chips: 73 | | | Re: Pharaoh's At Five Star How many Pharaohs were produced, and are they still producing them? I'm just curious if those in-the-know have any idea. I wasn't sure if this was a one time run for GPI of a specific quantity or if they are still pumping them out as retailers ask for more. I've got a set of Pharaohs that I'm just about set with my total chips (rounding it out to 800 total...maybe go to 1000, but that's it, I swear, really, this time I mean it, I promise)

For a total of 96746 chips, and the GPI or Trademark minimum was rumored to be 250,000 chips. Quote: |

Chips: 1,589 | | | Re: Pharaoh's At Five Star I think that you are dreaming if you think that any version of the Pharoah's club chips will ever go up in value. There is no limit on how many the retailers can have made. The only thing that makes chips go up in value is when there is limited supply and a lot of people want them. With no limit in supply why would they ever go up in value?

Chips: 1,845 | | | Re: Pharaoh's At Five Star I think there were many, myself included, that thought with as hard as it was getting the original group buy through, and then with Paulson raising their minimum, that it was likely the first run was going to be the only run. I'm not saying there was any promise or anything else to that effect, just that I thought there would only be that original 200,000 or so out there. I'm guessing that's no longer the case, especially if 5star has 100,000 in stock right now.
With that being the current state, yeah, I don't foresee a price increase in the near future. Simple supply and demand. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
