Chips: 533 | | | ASM Custom Design (Comments Welcome) So, I finally figured out a great idea for my custom chips. I have always wanted to have something meaningful, but I didn't want to just smear my initials and a goofy made-up casino name on the chip. I grew up in a bar - the bar my dad owns, called La Hacienda. So, I figured I would take a couple aspects from his logo, the little dude named Carlos and the two peppers, and turn them into a design. Please let me know what you guys think. Any comments are welcome! I am not 100% set on this design and since I did it using Adobe Illustrator, I can change any aspect of it relatively easy.
and a close up of the inlay... |

Is this a combo cash (ND, 1, 5) and tourney set (25 - 500, ND)? I noticed you bounce back and forth with the edgespot styles. |

Chips: 533 | | | Re: ASM Custom Design (Comments Welcome) Yes, that is correct... I figured it would help cut down on costs to make the 25's one edgespot... I figured that for a cash game, I can use the grey for .50 (sometimes we play a lil .50-1). And the yellow as a 2 dollar (we play 1-2 mostly). Then for tourneys, I can get a T1500 with 10 or 20 people and make the yellows 1000 of course and if I wanted to make it even bigger, I could use the grey as a 5000.
However, I am thinking (if I can fit it on the inlay) that I can get ASM to make another 20 of the double edge spots for a 5000 chip. And maybe the same for a 10000 chip.
Here is a rough breakdown of what my order will be (~1000 chips).
200XGrey NCV
200XBlue 1
100XRed 5
200XGreen 25
100XBlack 100
50XPurple 500
100XYello NCV
plus another 50-100 of other chips, possibly another NCV. |

Since it's not my money... I'd do dbl spots on the $500 and the other non-denom.
Any thoughts on putting a symbol where the denom would be on the non-denom (e.g. your initials, a sun, a cactus, a margarita or beer, a house, a suit, a lime etc...)?
The denom sign looks very small... and though I've seen it that way I prefer it raised or slightly superscripted.
Nice work.

And yes, they are offering them for 1.25 a piece for chiptalk members. http://www.kalimba.com/chipforge/free.html
