Chips: 521 | | | Design Help Needed Design Help Needed I have decided to finally get some custom asm’s but I have no idea how to make my inlays. Im looking for a classic design that will be the same on one side of the chip and then the second side will have the denomination. My last name is Akers so I would like that on the chip. I like the Bellagio chips allot and something like that with “Akers” instead of “Bellagio” would be awesome. My idea--- first side – Akers in script with a large script A in the back ground, club and casino in small print on the bottom. Second side – “Akers Poker Room Georgetown, Kentucky” around the edge with the denom in the middle Kinda like this--- http://www.buypokerchips.com/las-vegas/bellagio-casino-poker-chips.htm I would like these denominations, so I would need the following incorporated into the design- .25 1 5 25 100 500 1,000 Here are my tentative colors. white312 light green Blue 31 imperial blue-white Red (single color) Green312 Pink Black314 Imperial Blue-Purple Purple314 pink-light green Pink 312 purple Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Im not sure how long this will take but if this is not something easy to do i can work out some form of payment .

Let me take a look when I get home, I may already have something based upon the Poker Room chip from the Peppermill Reno (which is kind of a copy of the Bellagio chip except that it's on a Grand Inlay). Do be aware that it will have to be reduced even more to put it onto a standard inlay. Just think of it as a 3/4" area that you'll be working with. Quote: |

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Design Help Needed Here's something real quick and dirty done on a Nexgen. Bear in mind that this is a one inch label with a 7/8" print area. You'd need something in the 3/4" range and "AKERS POKER ROOM" just isn't going to fit on there. You can compare this to the Bellagio poker room chips at http://www.silver-state-treasures.co...s/bellagio.htm
The fonts I used are Times (not Times New Roman) for the text and GoudyOlSt BT for the denomination. It should be fairly easy to do as it is mostly text. For the ornamentation I just used a couple of chili pepper images that I had laying around, you can use whatever suits your preference. |

Peppers look too small to be legible... great quick & dirty!

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Design Help Needed I use Illustrator and Photoshop CS. Neither of these are cheap applications, and I know that you can use more commonly available consumer priced applications and get the same results, however I'll have to defer to others for the recommendations as I'm not really familiar with all that might be available on the market right now. The ones that come to mind are Photoshop Elements, Corel Draw Select Edition (don't know if this is still on the market), and Paint Shop Pro. There are probably some other affordable (for the workin' stiff rather than for corporate accounts) applications on the market that will serve this purpose quite well. Quote: |

Chips: 5,832 | | | Re: Design Help Needed I use Adobe Photoshop Elements which retails for around $70 plus it can help organize your digital pictures; this is what I built my "House" chips with. Its more than adequate for most of what you can do for a pokerchip. The text curving could be a little better. |

Chips: 1,728 | | | Re: Design Help Needed Actually the peppers print quite well, I've used them in the same size for another label. The image is originally color (green/red), and the original color image could be used to add a little variation to the design, especially the person with the chips is a chilihead. With regards to the puncuation, while it would be gramatically correct to add the possessive (and I did consider it ), I went with the convention to drop the aposrophe in the same way that Harveys Tahoe when they dropped the Harvey's Wagon Wheel and just became Harveys. I also found a flora font on dafonts that can be used for that ornamentation as well. Quote: |
