Hi Everyone,

I'm a new user to the site. For my first set of custom chips, I was looking for something very basic as a gift. (I'll be getting a set of custom clays later on).

So basically, I was looking for something around the quality of Dice Chips, but wanted a custom image on them. I was looking to get a 500 piece chipset with case and all.

Right now, I'm thinking either Ace High Supply(Costs about $120) for the gold foil printing or else www.personalpokerchips.com and getting the labels and dice set for $70.

Can you help me out with the pros and cons of these places? Is it worth it to get the Nexgens instead from personalpokerchips? Are there any other sites which offer low budget customization(and possibly in Canada)

Well, the Nexgens are without question a notch or two above the dice chips - and they are more receptive to labels, since they have a recessed center.

How long until you'll be doing your custom clay order? If you don't think it will be long, then I'd just get the cheapest set possible and not even worry about customizing - save the extra $$ to put towards your customs. If, however, it's going to be a long time anyhow, I might spend a little more for my "hold me over" set - Nexgens and labels are a good option. Or, others have spoken well about the Faux Clays.

These ones are for a club I'm part of. I expect them to be abused and thrown around quite a bit, which is why I'm looking at the cheaper sets.

I think I'm going to go with Ace High Supply, although, are there any places that are cheaper for the 500 piece chipsets with a custom logo hotstamped on them?

I have 2000 hotstamped super diamonds. I think I paid $0.12/chip. But to get by Christmas, you may need to pay extra to move your order to the front of the line.

I'll give them a shout tomorrow. I gotta figure out if it's $80 flat for the printing, or $80 +0.07/chip.. Given that acehigh does it for $.12/chip, I'd hope it's the former.

I think the $80.00 is to make a custom die for your stamp. If you just want a simple 3-initials or denomination, same on both sides, that is only $0.07 per chip. Both would be in addition to the the chip cost.

That's correct, custom graphics would be $80 plus .07 per chip.
