Kokopelli Ceramic TILES & DEALER BUTTON

KOKOPELLI TILES GROUP BUY

The kokopellis will be $1.55 per tile (includes paypal fees), plus priority shipping. I will go ahead and place the order Monday, Dec 5 for tiles. The tile people agreed to make another batch if more kokopelli chipsets are ordered after this date. To make the math easy, Shipping will be $4 for Priority Shipping. The price does not change with volume, we simply needed 50 to order which has already easily been reached. If you want less than 10, please contact me via PM.

DEALER BUTTONS ARE $8. We can ship them with the tiles so no additional shipping charge.

12/14 UPDATE:
THE TILES & BUTTONS ARE FINISHED AND IN THE MAIL Thursday, 12/15 to ME. I'll Snap photos and ship them to everyone immediately after.

12/19 UPDATE:
ALl Tiles&Buttons are shipped....

All the buttons will have some variance, but will look like the 3 in the pic below.. .no text or denoms....

As the kokopelli chips evolved, I contacted a hand made ceramic tile company that has generously agreed to produce unique, ceramic tiles that I plan to use as bounty chips. They are 1.5" wide and 1/4" thick, weighing about 16 grams each with a glazed front and black matte finished back. They stack 10 high pretty easily, and have a great shiny finish.

Someone asked in the 1st thread how durable they are. I dropped 1 (arggh!) on my ceramic floor from table height 10 times. It did not shatter. However, 1 drop out of the ten took a nice "rice-size" notch out of an edge. There are no thin parts and its overall weight is still only about 15g. Please consider the durability when ordering . The back is not rough as it appears in the pics.. It should not pick your felt. The glazed side slides like butter... the back does not.

DEALER BUTTONS $8
3" diameter, approx 5/8" thick
PUrple background with black border, matte flat finish on bottom

FINAL DESIGN

Re: Kokopelli Ceramic Tiles ~TAKING ORDERS~

I'm in for 20. Let me know about payment.

As for the dealer buttons. I would still be interested even if it only had 1 side. I would glue a piece of plastic or fabric to the back so it can slide. My dealer button usually only slides around with one side showing unless someone picks it up to play with it. I think these would stay put for the most part but if someone insists on picking it up it would be put back face up. Just a thought.

I'd buy one of the test buttons if one side looks ok.

Thanks

Ranman

Re: Kokopelli Ceramic Tiles ~TAKING ORDERS~

Hadn't considered someone wanting 1 if only 1 side is glazed... I'll let you know what we can work out on that end...

I am in for 35 tiles.

I will look into other options for the dealer buttons.

Maybe something from dealerbuttons.com or something like that.

I think I'll take 12. That way I'll get a couple spares.

Well. I contacted them and let them know we need something. Even if we have to go square, a little smaller, and/or no glaze on bottom... Any of these changes would likely drop the price a little anyway... I'll keep everyone posted. They are willing to do separate orders so don't feel pressured to buy them immediately... We'll get something nice to match...
I like the adding our own felt idea

Re: Kokopelli Ceramic Tiles ~TAKING ORDERS~

A little better news on the Dealer Button tiles front. The tile guys said the art is not the problem, it was the double glazing. So, I will take a look at the samples (which they mailed to me today) and post some pics. If we like how they look, I'll take orders and just buy felt for everyone, and I'll "do your bottoms for you" (hey, hey... keep it clean now).
My samples will be slightly over 2", but we might want to go bigger.

The cool thing is, they had complained that the process was much more involved and would push the price above $10 per button. Without the double glazing, the price will NOT be above $10 per button.

A couple questions on the buttons:
(1) black felt ok for the bottom?
(2) Would you prefer a 3" diameter over the 2" (obviously increases the weight)?
(3) Would you rather do your own felt (hey, Im offerin' for free)?

I'm not going to thouch the "do your bottom" thing. lol

1) Green is ok, Dark green better, Black would match my table (sorry, I'm being too picky now ).

I am also fine with getting them plain and doing my own bottom (oops, went there anyway )

2) I'd prefer the larger, heavier button.

Thanks
