been looking around and im considering a set of asm customs..
the inlay will a simple black background with a chinese character in the middle (in either gold, yellow or white font) with a small tiny denom..
i was thinking of having white, green, red with single spotted black edgespots so that they match the inlay.. with the black chip having no edge spots and a different coloured lettering (maybe red) or i could have the black chip with the red edgespots and the red lettering..
anybody got any opinions? and anybody has any idea where to get nice looking chinese fonts..all that i can find are basic fonts which dont look good at all..
the inlay will be more 'busy' once i get down to it..with either
1) two smaller chinese characters, one on each side of the main one in a faded watermark yellow (or some other colour)
2) the 2 characters in yellow with the main character as a watermark..
possibly could include denoms in a smaller white font or something below.. but i suck at photoshop..anybody care to help?
the original idea is to follow the way ancient chinese coins are done.. the two chinese characters at the side would translate to mean current coin.. and they would have two more chinese characters one at the top one at the bottom to denote the value (denom). do you guys think this will end up making the image wayy too busy since there isnt much space to work with?
as usual...any/all comments are very much appriciated. I'm deciding between getting a set of ASM customs.. or printing these on vinyl labels and then sticking them on to the samurai palace chips which i reaaaallly love
I only need 4 colour choices at the end of the day.. for $1 $5 $25 $100 for my NL cash game, might either include another colour for $50cents for the occational $50 buy in or have the $100 without denom so that it can be used as 50cents as well.. maybe you guys could choose the 4 most you like below to help me with this? (and possibly offer new suggestions given my inlay) thanks a lot!
If you go with ASM, keep in mind that the printable area is not usually edge to edge. For the horse head mold you have a 7/8 inch inlay of which they print 3/4". I think you can get 1" on a couple of the designs though. Also, you can't push graphics too far to the edge, because its impossible to punch the inlays exactly centered. The further out you print, the easier it is to tell if it is off center.
I have been working on a similar design. PM me if you want to see it.
