Now these are CERAMIC!...
As the
kokopelli chips evolved, I contacted a hand made ceramic tile company that has generously agreed to produce unique, ceramic tiles that I plan to use as bounty chips. They are 1.5" wide and 1/4" thick, weighing about 16 grams each with a glazed front and black matte finished back. They stack 10 high pretty easily, and have a great shiny finish.
When I place the order, I'll get enough for anyone who purchases a set of kokopellis to add some unique touches to their kokopelli set. We will be looking at a great price as well, around $1.50 per tile.
Since the kokopelli is actually an ancient Native American cave painting, I thought the hand painted, true tile look might be kinda cool. They made a few variations, but I will likely go with the tiles with NO text so that they can be multifunctional ("bounty," "show em", card protector, tourney prize).
Although I know the inconsisitency from tile to tile and the hand painted (non computer generated) art would not work for just any chip design, I think it will add a unique touch to the kokopelli set.
Let me know what you think.
BTW, group buy may be extended a few days with some interesting news on the horizon.
