KOKOPELLI Custom Bounty ~CERAMIC TILES~

Now these are CERAMIC!...

As the kokopelli chips evolved, I contacted a hand made ceramic tile company that has generously agreed to produce unique, ceramic tiles that I plan to use as bounty chips. They are 1.5" wide and 1/4" thick, weighing about 16 grams each with a glazed front and black matte finished back. They stack 10 high pretty easily, and have a great shiny finish.

When I place the order, I'll get enough for anyone who purchases a set of kokopellis to add some unique touches to their kokopelli set. We will be looking at a great price as well, around $1.50 per tile.

Since the kokopelli is actually an ancient Native American cave painting, I thought the hand painted, true tile look might be kinda cool. They made a few variations, but I will likely go with the tiles with NO text so that they can be multifunctional ("bounty," "show em", card protector, tourney prize).

Although I know the inconsisitency from tile to tile and the hand painted (non computer generated) art would not work for just any chip design, I think it will add a unique touch to the kokopelli set.

Let me know what you think.

BTW, group buy may be extended a few days with some interesting news on the horizon.

Re: KOKOPELLI Custom Bounty ~CERAMIC TILES~

I like them alot. The one thing that I have a question about is the finish in the back of the tile. It looks rough. What is the effect of this texture sliding acorss the felt of the table?

Does to catch on the felt?

I think these would be great for bounty chips.

Great question... the backs are not as rough as they appear, but do have some texture. I just slid them on my small octagon table and could get them from 1 side to the other just fine. The glazed side, however, slides like butter across the poker cloth. The backs certainly are not rough enough to "pick" the fabric...

As I am currently looking at doing a large, ceramic dealer button, I have requested that both sides be glazed (haven't heard yet if that is actually doable though). As for bounties, I guess they won't be moved much, so it wouldn't really be an issue.

The custom dealer button and bountys would make the whole set complete.

Kind of like the samurai group buy with their dealer button.

Very nice, great idea... they'd make great dealer buttons.

Definitely completes the set... nice work!

Yes, I will probably go in for some of these. I agree about no text being the best idea, though the spear seems appropriate for a bounty chip.

I could have the spear replaced by the flute on some, so keep that in mind as an option. A small change like that is not a bid deal, although adding text or denoms would be a bit more expesive per tile.

Re: KOKOPELLI Custom Bounty ~CERAMIC TILES~

So I made up a few possibilities for a Dealer button to be made in the ceramic tile.. Hopefully this can be glazed on both sides to slide well on the table.
Keep in mind, all the art work will be hand painted, so it will not have a clean, polished look as it appears in the jpegs...
They will be approximately 3" in diameter...

Let me know which one you like... so far.....

Re: KOKOPELLI Custom Bounty ~CERAMIC TILES~

Number 3 does it for me.
I'm ordering one or two sample sets tomorrow. Any chance of me ordering a dealer button as well?
*wishes he had the cash for a complete set*

WOW. Love the dealer buttons. I like number three like RadixLecti does but I think number four is the one to get.

Maybe that it doesnt have turquoise on it is what is catching my eye.

Very nice.
