Roman mold or Horse head mold

Howdy all. Im pondering purchasing a set of custom ASM's but Im having some trouble decided which mold to get. Im torn between the roman mold and the horse head mold. The more i see of the horse head the more i like it. I know that the decision is mine to make but Im looking for opinions here as to which one you perfer.

Thanks,
Keith

Re: Roman mold or Horse head mold

At first when I started looking at ASM chips out of interest I was into the horsehead, now I have to say i'm firmly in the roman mold myself. I just like the continual pattern I guess. The HH still is my second choice.

Re: Roman mold or Horse head mold

The detail of the horse head mould is very nice, and well done. ...but it's a horse. Let's say you keep the chips for 10 years - are you going to look at them and say "I've never rode a horse in my life. I touched one at a fair once - why did I get them on my chips?!?" or will you say "Wow, look at this beautiful detail on my custom chip. I'm so glad I got this classic, excellent design."

That's the way I would think about it. I can see different people going either way. I think the Roman mould will always be "classic" so there is less chance of feeling odd about having it.

Since you said "Howdy" perhaps you are a cowboy, (in practice or in spirit) and then I see no reason not to get the horsehead. (Hope this doesn't sound flippant - it's not meant to be. I'm saying this with a straight face.)

Personally, I like the Roman mold - but I don't really like horses. The mould itself is nice - but it's a horse!

Re: Roman mold or Horse head mold

Yes, I've worn a top hat. And I've carried a cane. But not both at the same time.

Similarly, I've never worn a crown, large or small. But I like TR King chips

And I like to play craps in the Nevada casinos, does that mean I'm doomed to dice chips?

Wait a minute, I like cards too ... guess there's salvation yet, maybe the Diecar mold that ASM brought out of the archives
