Re: Custom Chip Idea

Not bad. Good choice on the H mold. It looks almsot too plain to me.

Re: Custom Chip Idea

The crossbar of the H watermark is very hard to make out. I would try to see if there was a darker shade that wuld make it a little more pronounced... without having it pop out at you. Fine balance.

I like "Private Card Room." I like that a lot.

I had a problem with my fonts being too small to be legible. Be sure to print out a real-size image to see if the text needs enlarged.

Good start! I'll check back... going through the process myself in another thread.

Yea, version 2 is much much better, what other colors would you have? The lt green chip w/ green edge spot looks awesome.

Re: Custom Chip Idea

I like version 2. The watermark looks great, and the placement of the denomination looks good, too.

I think it would look nice with "Private Card Room" being the same size as "The House." Whatever size works to create a circle of text. Having the font sizes the same would create a uniform, clean look. That said, I think it looks pretty nice right now, too.

Re: Custom Chip Idea

I think the inlay is 7/8" with 3/4" printable area so it may limit you on having the denom written out because it'd be sooo small.

What denom setup were you thinking?

Re: Custom Chip Idea

First, you're going to have to shrink the business portion of the inlay down to 3/4" (i.e. away from the edges) to satisfy QC restrictions. This also means that writing out "TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS" in the size you're sketching will not be legible if you left it at the same proportions.

Next, I'd recommend removing the horizontal rule with the dot in the middle that sits underneath the denomination. It caught my eye more than once looking it over as reading $2.5

I would also adjust either the watermark or the center printing so you can see the watermark's 'H' a little better.

Overall, this is an awesome layout, not too busy, very elegant, and obviously a great combination with the H mold chip for sure I'd like to see these chips made.
