Chips: 103 | | | Custom Chip Process Hey I am getting ready to purchase some custom chips from homepokerchip.com. Any advise on what to be aware of during the artwork approval process. Here is my starting artwork any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Looks like a good start... the thing that I first noticed was the text wrap is read in one direction but the club suit is upside down with respect to that. Also, the cursive text is a little small IMO as is the center graphic. The center graphic (i.e. fan of cards) color could change with the various denoms. Since you have a yin-yang card design you could extend that to the wrap possibly?? Seems like it needs to be spiced up a little for Chipco but if its ASM than it's a nice simple design.
HPC has a great gallery of their custom artwork which is nice to peruse for ideas on wraps, elements & edge spot designs. Patrick has a great eye for color combos that work well together.
Posting reviews for comments helps.

Chips: 1,580 | | | Re: Custom Chip Process The way the text appears now is a bit strange. Remember that the chip itself will not always be facing this direction. If you spin the current image 180 degrees, both texts are then upside down... although some people might say that is ok.
The spacing between the arched text and the suits is noticeably different as you move around from text to suit....
Agreed the script is TOO small. Also, the red card identifiers(10,J,Q,K,A) will be lost on the black at the final size... That may be OK. You could go with white letters here, but only if you wanted that to stand out more.
The layout and general feel of the design is looking good..... |

I still think the black text on red is tough to read...
The yellow is my favorite then the black chip.
Maybe others can chime in on whether they like red with blue and blue with red.
The suits, spacing of arched text, playing cards, and "willie's place" look super!
Nice job. |

If you really are looking for chipco, i suggest you take off the edge spots on the second set of design. Face edge spots on chipco are the wrong way to go because the side spots do not line up with it, resulting in a final product that looks either screwed up or a sloppy immitation of clay chips. |

Chips: 427 | | | Re: Custom Chip Process I guess I'm in the minority--I like the blue chip with the red detail. The red chip with the blue detail is not as striking as the other 2 chips combos (yellow/black). Maybe you could tweek the colors rather than scrapping the combo. |
