Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

I am buying my husband custom chips for his birthday in January. His biggest passion is golf, so I went with that. Hoping for some design feedback.

I'm okay with the labels, but welcome any design feedback.

I'm less sure about the chip colours, especially the spots. I think my husband would like the traditional chip colours, so I choose those. All the contrasting colours I tried with the mockup generator looked like crap. So I have the following three options:

All grey spots:

Two-tone (my favourite - with some different options for white, black and purple):

Stepwise spots (spot colour is next chip colour):

(My first attempt at pics - hope they're done right....)

Thanks for the feedback...

Re: Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

I like the 2-tone option and the stylized green and flag design. Consider making the denomination bolder and off to the side, or making the design the "watermark". On the 1st set - 19th hole - what is written on the golf ball? that may be too hard to read when on the chip.

I am a big fan of the two-tone design as well. Very classy look.

Re: Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

I do not like the all grey.

The two tone looks good so I'd go with that or choose your fav color combos and not do the spots in a pattern (e.g. spot = lower/higher denom color).

The design is ok but I too would be worried the initials are too small. The back design is good but the only prob I have is the 19th hole isn't a hole... rather see the flag in a drink or a martini glass with golf balls instead of olives?? Just my first impression.

By the way... You rock!!!

Nice gift, good luck!

Post pics when you get them or any other design thoughts you have.

Re: Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

ops:I'm in the minority here. I like the flag and green stylized desigh, witht he denominations as a watermark, but the chips and edge spot colors should be bolder, stand out more.

I would rather see the edge spots in strongly contrasting colors, rather then complementing or going to the next chip color.

Your husband is a lucky man.

Re: Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

I actually like all three of those sets. In order, probably two-tone, grey, and then stepwise. The color combos are very "golfy" (yes, I know that's not a word LOL). But they just seem to be very appropriate choices.

Nice job! Your hubby will love 'em. If he doesn't, just send 'em to me.

Yeah, I have to agree with just about everyone here and go with the two-tone look. Very classy, they will never go out of style.

Re: Feedback on golf-themed ASMs

Those chips look great. I too voted for the two-tone. The flag and green thing just look too plain to me though and the golf ball looks a little plain too try to get some clubs in there somehow.
