Personalised composite chips?

Can you have personalised designs on composite chips?

I dont have much money and have found composite chips are very similar to clay ones but much cheaper. Not sure if you can personalise them though, can you?

If so, who does it?

I brought a set of 100 composite chips for £15 and that was with a box, pack of cards and some dice. Is there anywhere that will personalise a whole poker set. I own my own website and am looking to branch out into selling the sites chips.

Re: Personalised composite chips?

There are lots of folks who do this. Many retailers offer hot stamping. If your chips have a recessed center you could look into custom labels, there's a whole section here dedicated to that very thing.

Who is the best at doing it?

Re: Personalised composite chips?

I won't give a recommendation as to who is best at it since both Lynbark and Jason are friends of the chiptalkers here (you'll find them in the labelling section). Both will do a fantastic job for you.

I've got Jason's labels on a set of nexgens, and have never had any doubt that the labels would stay where they were until I wanted to pel them off on purpose.

It will make a difference if the chips you use have a recess in the middle to take a label or not as if they are flat (like dice chips tend to be) the labels will come into contact with each other when they are stacked. Recessed chips don't suffer from this.

Re: Personalised composite chips?

I'm not sure as to where it might be right now, but before the change on the site, there was an article that Jason E. had authored about chips and labels that would have probably answered most of your questions. A lot of that content is also on Jason's site at http://www.Pokerchiplabels.net/

Insofar as the labels coming off, you'll probably have to damage the label to get it off of the chip. They do not come off very easily, and certainly not by themselves unless you damage it with liquids or solvents.

There are several vendors who regularly post to this site and both have an impressive list of testimonials from members of this site. Insofar as quality, I think they both use the same equipment and the same labels from the same source, so materially you shouldn't see much difference.
