Chips: 1,696 | | | TR King colors FWIW I ordered all available colors from TR King (plain). I've had some samples for years but lately I've been seriously thinking of getting a complete custom set and since ASM has no variance on spots and the cost to use the Blue Chip mold I desire is too high I've been leaning back towards TRK. I got the set o f 15 chips today (ordered late Friday). It's misisng 5 colors, which I was told would be the case. I have to say I'm really impressed but the thing that struck me most is how different the colors on the actaul chips are from the (admittedly crappy) .gifs on the TRK website. There's some really great colors, especially if you like older school (50s-60s) style chips, which to me just screams "lounge music and gamblin' baby!" Standouts are the chocolate, dark turquoise, orange, mustard(gold?), salmon (pink?), and some sort of light brown/beige/butterscotch pudding thing.
I figure I can sell my hot stamped edge spot Paulsons and pay for this (and then some) or maybe I could get a small (5K max) group buy together.
I realize that "this thread is useless without pictures" so I'll endeavor to take some photos tonight or scan 'em here at work if I get a chance. I'll see how well the colors translate then. |

Chips: 1,696 | | | Re: TR King colors I didn't. He mention that he was too busy to run off the five missing when I called I Friday, I told him no worries and as it turns out I don't think I'm overly interested in the missing colors, though I suppose I'd like to get 'em eventually. |
