ASM Edge Spotted Choices--Need some advice

I am soon going to be purchasing ASM Edge Spotted Chips once my funds are sufficient. I will not be getting a custom inlay, as the price is too high. I am planning on around 500 chips with about 4-5 different chips with the Horsehead Mold. These are the choices I am considering, feel free to toss out others.

Black/Dayglo Green **
Blue/White
Chocolate/Dayglo Peach
Green/Dayglo Peach (Which green chip would you advise on?)
Green/Yellow
Imp. Blue/Yellow
Purple/Dayglo Pink **
Man. Red/Imp. Blue
Man. Red/Yellow (Which red chip would you advise on?)
Red/Imp. Blue
Orange Blue

The ones with the astericks I will probably plan on getting no matter what.
Thanks

Red w/imp blue is very nice. The Mandarin red is sort of a candy apple shade where the red is a deeper almost maroon shade. I think the mand red + yellow would be a rather ugly combo. The yellow is more mustard colored, dg yellow or maybe arc yellow would be a better one on that color, as is white. For the green, go with regular green. DG peach would look good on it. Blue + white, black +dg green, both classic combos. Orange + blue would probably be better as imp blue. That's a nice looking combo. Have you looked at the chip color chart?

Use the 2nd link down for a decent size but not ridiculous download time.

For a better representation of the actual colours, I scanned my samples whe I got them (the colour chart is great to get a rough idea of how the combo looks, though): http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3099

My set will have green/black/purple/yellow/orange, and some of your choices are the same as I'm considering. Especially black/dg green and purple/dg pink. I think those look great. Of course, most edge spot colours will look nice on a black chip. For my yellow, I'm probably going to go with a mandarin red edge spot, and black edge spots on my orange chip. It was either that or go with orange/blue and yellow/black. Both nice combos, I just like the first one a little more. I think I'm also getting green/dg peach.

I think dg yellow would look better on a imperial blue chip than regular yellow, though - but I'd likely go with blue/white or blue/grey myself. For red, I'd choose between red/arc yellow and mandarin red/imperial blue. Again, regular yellow is rather dark. Chocolate/dg peach looks nice too.

if your looking for typical colors, i highly recomend red/imp blue and green/dg peach. both are very nice chips. then if you want a fifth color id go for blue/white as a lower denom chip or orange/blue as a higher.

I guess one tip I would offer is don't get a chip that reverses the colors in another: i.e. yellow/green spots and green/yellow spots. Otherwise dirty stacks get difficult to detect. Also, and this may be down to impending color blindness, green and imperial blue dont seem distinct enough from each other.....

mandarin/arc yellow rox!!

Or should I look at other colors as well? I am open to all opinions, and so far I will probably have a green, black, and purple chip, with two more colors to fill the set. Thanks for your thoughts.

Mandarin is a brighter red. It has a touch of orange, while "red" has a touch of purple.

I still don't quite understand why people ask what colors others would get. Isn't the point to get what YOU like?
