Chips: 11,925 | | | Aviation Club Redux Fins (Thanks!) & I have been working on this design together for a little while and I really like where it's headed. They'll be either Chipco or NJ ceramics. Please post your feedback. These have a sentimental value for me, as my honeymoon was in Paris. Some of the spots aren't quite right, but they are a good reference for where they're headed. Let me know what you think!

Chips: 62 | | | I like them. Nice job. The only thing I do not like is the "wake" of the plane being color matched to the chip body color. I think I would like it better just using the .25 image for all. |

I only have very minor comments:
- Maybe 5 edgespots on the $100 rather than 6?
- Watch the airplane/acp positioning
- Maybe make the 'cutout' on inner ring consistent with the edgespots (ie. 2 edgespots = 1 cutout etc.). Basically, add a cutout to the 1 & 5 chips.
- 'Edgespots' on $1 chip are the only one with a black stroke (prop color on this chip is inconsistent also)
I can see that you put a lot of thought and effort into these, nice job guys! |

Chips: 2,140 | | This is certainly nit picking, so apologies in advance.
'Aviation Club of Paris' looks like a direct translation of 'Aviation Club de Paris', but its not really a natural translation.
I'd suggest sticking with 'Aviation Club de Paris' if you need the initials to stay the same.
Also I'd tend to drop the 'France'. Using 'France' to differentiate between Paris France and Paris Texas (i guess) is very U.S. and makes the chips look a little like souveniers rather than chips that might have been used in the Aviation Club itself.
I did warn you i was nit picking. ops: |

I did warn you i was nit picking. ops: | The original name of the club is "Aviation Club De France", so I wanted to keep all the original words from the real chip on my chip, without infringing too closely on copyrights. Perhaps I'll change it back to "de" as opposed to "of". That's a pretty small detail, so I think it works either way. As for the France thing... If they (the club) are as literal as to have "Aviation Club De France - Paris" on their chips, I think i'll leave it on my tribute chips. But that's just me!
Lumpy, now that I look at them, you're probably right about the wake, I'll take another stab at it.
Johnny, the black chip does look a little crowded. Fins said the same thing. I'll take a look at it too, and change the purple spots on the $1 chip. I haven't even begun to think about the cutouts.
Thanks very much for the comments, and a special thanks to Fins who has been helping immensely with these, it's been fun-confusing!

Chips: 1,580 | | VERY, VERY NICE... I especially love the red....
2 anal observations...
(1)I'm worried that the ACP with the black outline may appear a bit blurred at such a small size.... I know chipco process will create very accurate and clear printing, but even at that size the "A" especially may blur somewhat.... I think they don't need to be totally legible to look cool, but it might be an issue that wasn't considered.
A fix might be to go with a solid color only, rather than a light color with black outline...the current color will certainly get lost on any light background with no outline.
(2) the plane's right wing is on top of the "O" on three of the designs... definetely need to keep the plane outside the inner circle, as that adds depth to the images and simply makes the design work, but maybe a tweak to its rotated position (or that of the text) would get them all the same.
I love the swirly edgespot areas... gorgeous |

Chips: 1,700 | | | What are the edge spots on the side going to be like?
They're very nice chips, one of the best custome mockups I've seen. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
