Revised Neon Inlay (ASM)

Hey guys, here's an update on the design of the custom inlays I'm trying to get for some custom ASM's. Let me know what you think. This is going to be a 4 denomination tournament set. I'll post the denomination, chip body color, and then edgespot color followed by the graphic....Here we go.

$5 Light Green / Lavender

$25 Imperial Blue / Dayglo Yellow

$100 Black / Imperial Blue

$500 Purple / Dayglo Green

They look terrific! Great improvement over the original design, which needed some tweaking, and did you ever tweak it!

Maybe try centering the text and neon'ing the suits. Maybe using the spot color for the neon suit and body color for the neon denom and have the text the same on all chips.

Still seem a little plain and the blk bkg I hear might not work b/c of the wht ring that'll show when they're cut but idk??

First thoghts.... nice improvement though... comming along

Look a lot better. I am with fins on neoning the suits. However, I would make them a white neon. It would look really good against that black background.

Just a little design advice, but you are off to a nice start.

When the average joe designs something they often get concerned with making things "the same" instead of "looking right."

For instance, I'll bet a dollar that ALL of your suits are the same height, and the font used is always the same size, right?

Making things "look right" is the key to design, and not worrying about the "math" or the correctness of it.

Try this and see what happens:

The Diamond shape has the most "internal" space/volume.
Put the $500 denom in that one.

The Club has the least room, put the $5 denom in that one.

The heart and the spade are pretty close in "volume" but the spade looks a little wider towards the bottom and would better suit the $100 denom, and the $25 should go in the heart.

Start with that, and let's go from there.

Just a thought (they aren't my chips).

I really like the way the club looks on the $25 chip - it's also kind of a play on words (Club 143 with a club on the chip). Have you considered making all the chips have one suit on the design? What if you decide to add a fifth denomination later?
