MARDI GRAS

It’s very unfortunate. These chips have very beautiful color, mold, and great texture. The design of the inlay is also very nice BUT there QUALITY CONTROL SUCKS!!! I just received 9 chips and I swear, not one single chip or side, had a properly centered and circular inlay. I mean, these are sample chips. You would think that being samples they should all be perfect since the main reason people purchase them is because they want to test out the product before buying a huge bulk. Very unfortunate. If anyone else here has these chips please share.

You can look at my images here:

This is typical of Blue Chip who manufactures these, but looking at all of the Paulson errors and hearing about the ASM problems it looks like this is something that is going to happen to all chips no matter who is making them.

Off center inlays are just a fact of life in Clay poker chips. I have casino TH&C Paulsons that have slightly off center inlays.

In my experience however, The paulson and ASM inlays that are off center are at least circular. The funny shaped inlays seems to be a problem exclusive to BC. Maybe some of the other manufacturers have the problem occasionally, but it is almost the norm on most of the Blue Chips I've seen. The Mardi Gras are actually better in that regard than other BC designs.

Hopefully the Samurai chips won't suffer from that problem as much.

Go to nevadajacks.net and look at the images they use for the Nevada Jacks and Martini Club line. Half of them are out of round.

My experience is that with blue chips the out of round inlay or off centered inlay is the rule not the exception. With each of the other 3 manufacturers I would say that it is just the exact opposite. You will see poorly aligned inlays with Paulson, TR King and ASM but not too often.

I have the chips and I love them, they are my tourney set up and they are beautiful chips. I also have a set of Paulsons for my cash game and although they are very different I love them both
