'Huron' Poll :)

Hey, Got some inlay mock ups from P5Woody tonight and thought I would create a poll. Please be honest since I am going to be spending a good chunk of coin on these lol

Spike1 – Huron surrounding poker with different color denominations
Spike2 – Huron over different words like poker room, poker club, room, club and different colored denominations to see more options
spike3 - Red Huron with colored Denominations to match the chips.
spike4 – Blue Huron with Red denominations
spike5 - nope, none of the above, I still like one of the other ones!

I think I like 3 the best . Yes I know its my choice in the end but I still like to see what people think.

thanks!

Re: 'Huron' Poll :)

I like your first set of mockups with the red Huron and the poker sandwiched underneath. I like the idea of red Huron, white poker and red denomination on every chip in the set. I would change the base color of the $5.00 as it will be confused on the table with the pink chip. You could change the base of the pink instead but I really like what you have come up with on that chip. Try the new maroon chip as the $5.00 chip. It will give you more contrast with the pink chip. You can use plum in the bcc color pallet in the chip factory to test it out. You can also see the color in my "Gambling Ladies" mock up thread as I used it as the $5.00 chip for one of my cash sets. Looks like it's going to be a great set!

Re: 'Huron' Poll :)

My 2 cents - Huron surrounding poker with different color denominations. Have you considered colour matching the denom and 'Huron' to the chip/edgespots? OR Red/Red like Lucky_dog said.

Denom font in option 3 is different to the rest and a bit too fine (not thick enough) formy liking.

Re: 'Huron' Poll :)

Still liking the bottom right from the 'other' mock-ups...

Remember you're working with a 7/8" inlay here: putting a largeish outer ring with a LOT of stuff in the center doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Print the designs out in real size and see if you can still read the text elements properly. If black, however, I'd definitely bulk up the text elements to ensure the black doesn't bleed all over them.

My 2 cents.

I also personally think either a completely black OR completely white background would compliment the chips better.

Re: 'Huron' Poll :)

what do you guys think about getting rid of the white circle and make it all black background with white text for 'London Ontario Est 2012' ?

Still a big fan of either the middle bottom or right hand bottom line of the layouts page -

They all look good though, but size them to 7/8 and see what looks best to you.

Re: 'Huron' Poll :)

The 3rd full set looks the best to me. I like the right one of the bottom row the best (in red rather than blue). I also like the bottom middle, but it isnt as interesting as the right and might get boring over time.

Usually I really like the matching inlay colors with the chip, but it doesnt seem to work with this chip. I would try having all the denoms font color white. The Huron will stand out and the design will look much more clean.

Should there be a comma between London and Ontario? London, Ontario
