Edge spot advice for Home Tournament Set

I am planning a 1000 chip set for a Home Tournament Set and would appreciate feed back on these mock ups...

I've been lurking for awhile and this is my first jump into the "public" forum... try to be gentle... : )

I like the idea on having a "set" feel and think the Q-pie spot with black makes the color of the chip pop. The Bounty chip encompasses all the other chip colors in the set (- charcoal / grey)

The first mock up is with a Charcoal that may "wash out" the Lavender chip and the second uses the Grey chip to give more contrast.

Thoughts?

The inlay design will be white with a crisp Black and Red Classic design.

thank you in advance....

Id mix up the edge spots and maybe not use black on all of them. i think they look too much alike in the pot.

The spot patterns in your 3rd mockup with the 3A12MA are not available. Just regular 3A12

Re: Edge spot advice for Home Tournament Set

Thank you Jim,

Do the chip colors that I've selected do well with q-pie mold with black edge spots?

I think the colors work well together, I know of a few sets with quarter pies like that and I think they look good.

I like the q pies. Have you got samples? I was going to do a yellow and an orange chip but notice in bad light they were a bit hard to tell apart from a distance. Have you tried canary yellow?

I do have samples and will take a closer look at the canary yellow. The choices could easily make someone go mad!

Re: Edge spot advice for Home Tournament Set

Your mockups are somewhat reminiscent of the Speakeasy chips (on the BCC t-mold). Those chips use a common gray base with various 1/4-pie spot colors:

Using gray or charcoal as a base instead of black may give your set colors more opportunity to shine on their own, as well as provide a little more contrast. Black is a pretty strong color; sometimes overwhelming when used in large quantities. Using a white inlay (vs gray) will definitely change the look of the chips.

Re: Edge spot advice for Home Tournament Set

Beautiful suggestion! I'm very close to the Inlay design being completed so I'll post pics when it's all ready. I have always liked that Speakeasy set a lot and not sure why I didn't think to go in that direction... thank you!
