Polar Poker mock-up

Now that I have my empress sets complete, it's time to figure out my ASM customs. I got my color samples and have been playing around with the chip factory for quite a while. Here's what I've come up with. The label is still a work in progress and might change completely but I think I have two color sets that I like. I like the second row better (pink-blue-white-black-gray) but also like the first row. I'm also not sure about the spot colors/pattern on the 25 chip. I go back and forth with DG-green and blue/white alternating as well.

I prefer the bottom set but I would be concerned about the 500 and the 5000 not having enough contrast. You might want to try a butterscotch base color for the 5000. My two cents.

Re: Polar Poker mock-up

The inlay is a bit plain, isn't it? I think some color (maybe blue) would do some good there. Also possibly some text to fill the inlay. Something...

Re: Polar Poker mock-up

When I first started working on my Casino Antarctica design, it was originally an arctic design and i'd gathered several different images to use on each inlay. One was a nice polar bear image which I think would probably work well on your inlay. You're welcome to use it on yours if you like. I'll attach it here.

Re: Polar Poker mock-up

Both versions of the 1000 are awesome--nice color combos there!

I agree the 500 and 5000 are probably too close in color.

For the inlay, be aware that artwork on-screen will usually look a tad faded when printed in real life. It's just part of working with back-lit screens vs. working with non-back-lit paper. I point this out because many subtle details I've had in my artwork have been lost in the printing. I like you artwork so far but I'd suggest bumping up the contrast to be safe.

Re: Polar Poker mock-up

Sort of. I like the minimal look.

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking now of switching the gray base with arc yellow. Probably the same spot colors. I'll put up a new mock up later but I think it will work and it gives nice contrast. Really, the games I play don't need a 5k it's more just to have a few or for rebuys on a T10000.

The set is also loosely inspired by the Caesar's Palace tourney sets I've seen on TV. But I really like having my $1000s be black.

Nice idea, but the color palette seems a bit pale.

I'm pretty sure that's sort of the point i.e. it goes together with the 'coldness' of the theme. I think it works just fine.
